OB GYN In Evanston

I am looking for a new OB GYN. I would prefer someone in or near Evanston that would deliver out of Evanston Hospital and preferably in the ENH Medical Group. Thanks for any help.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?™

Thanks for giving me so many names. I have a lot of choices now, thank you. I appreciated the midwives names as well but I don't think I will be looking into them. My son was breech and it was probably a result of my fibroid so I am expecting, but not hoping, that I will probably have another cesarean because of a breech position. Thank you all again!!!!

I agree with what people have said about AGSO. My doctor is Dr. Forbes and she is WONDERFUL! I had a great pregnancy and delivery experience with her.

I just delivered at Evanston and it was a wonderful experience. I would definitely recommend my OB GYN, her name is Dr. Stephanie Shisler. She will be going on maternity leave, but anyone in her group is just as great.

My midwife is awesome and delivers out of evanston but I don't think she is ENH - not sure. She is AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME!!!!

The North Shore Associates group is associated with ENH and delivers there. The Drs. Goodwin/Saleh/Kosinski are great. I delivered with the midwifes there (Debi Lesnick, Rose Baldwin) - but the drs. have a good reputation too. Number is ###-###-####.

Hi J. -
I go to
OB GYN
Associates in Gynecological Surgery and Obstetrics, S.C. and see Dr. William Banzhaf. I don't think he's taking new patients, but there's other docs in the practice I love. If I needed to switch or see a different dr, I'd go to Carol Elman or Jill Hoprasart. They're amazing! They're not ENH Med Grp affiliated anymore (they were when I started w/ them years ago) but know all the ENH Med Grp docs. They're next to ENH Evanston Hopital. Also have offices near ENH Glenbrook Hospital.

Hi J.,

I go to Traci Kurtzer who is part of the ENH medical group and I like her. I also used to go to Partners in Womancare and they were very good - they are a larger practice with 3 OB's. Good luck,

B.

I second the recommendation of AGSO - I use Carol Ellman and she is WONDERFUL. Their nurse-midwife, Linda Given-Welch is also excellent and I have heard great things about Dr. Hoprasart too. I work at Evanston Hospital and most of my colleagues use this group for their own OB care.

Hi J.,

You've probably already found someone, but wanted to put in another vote for Dr. H. Jacob Saleh at North Shore Associates. He has a 4% c-section rate (or did when I checked awhile ago) as he happens to be trained in turning babies, etc. He is also a very fine surgeon if you need it. My midwife also told me she was impressed with one of the other drs. in the practice when she saw him save the live of a patient during birth. And the third doc I met during my last birth and like her as well.

Good luck!

Dr. Pellar at Partners in Woman Care - located just across from ENH Hospital. She is fantastic. I just had my 2nd baby in October and she made the experience so much more enjoyable than my first pregnancy and delivery. ###-###-#### Good Luck.
