Oak Park-Lkg for Closet Organizer Installation Services (Wire Ok & Affordable)

Would love to get closet organizers to maximize our bedroom closet space. White wire organizers are ok as we may add on to house and don't want to invest a lot in the closets, but still want a good quality, sturdy, organized closet. Any good sources out there? Should I be considering a Handyman & Lowes and/or Home Depot?

What can I do next?

Hi G., I installed new closet organizers in all of my closets. I would suggest going to The Container Store to have all of your closets designed. Then take the designs to Home Depot to purchase the supplies that you need. I put them up myself, but would have rather had a handyman do it. You will save at least 50% by buying the Home Depot brand vs. The Container Store. The first 2 closets that I redid were with The Container Store product and the rest were with HD. They are so similar that I wish I had saved the $$ and used HD for all.

We checked out a few services along these lines, also hoping to go the white wire route. We never found someone willing to install the white wire for us, but we did find a closet organizing guy that did pressed board for almost 1/3 the price of the other services that did estimates for us. The guy's name who helped us is Gary, and here's his info:

Hi G.. I looked at California Closets and also at having The Container Store install for me, and both were outrageously priced (at least in my opinion!). I ended up buying Mills Pride closet organizers from Home Depot and hiring a handyman to install them. I haven't seen the Mills Pride system that I purchased at Home Depot lately, so you may want to go to their website and see who else sells their products. You can buy a system for your closet size and add extras. If you need a handyman, I highly recommend Sam of Custom Home Services. His number is ###-###-####. Good luck.

I used Closetworks but I would not recommend it unless you want to spend a lot of money :) My friends used the closet systems available at the Container store, which is still expensive but super cool, easy to install and cheaper than mine.
I would not recommend home depot. I used a storage system rom them years ago and it just didn't hold up to heavy clothes etc.
Good luck-R.

The Container Store is great for designing your closet space. WE did our first closet with them. the Elfa system was a little pricey, but we waited for the sale. After we got the hang of it, we bought all our other systems from Home Depot. I recommend using the system where you install the rail at the top and supend all the standards and brackets from that (the adjustable one). Using the shelves with the clips directly to the wall are not as sturdy and sometimes fall out--end up costing more in the long run. Even thought it's more expensive, I recommend doing only one closet with Container Store--it gave us the experience and now we're pros!
