Nursery Furniture? - Saint Paul,MN

I don't know the Twin Cities very well, having moved here only recently so Im asking for help from local moms...
Where should I go shopping for nursery furniture? I need a crib, a dresser and a glider. My nursery is small and oddly shaped and I need to measure each piece before buying, so I really need to go to a brick and mortar store, not online. Other than Babies R Us, where should I go?

What can I do next?

I like Baby Grand on Grand Ave. in St. Paul. They have a large selection at all price points. I've found their prices to be very competitive. I price shopped around for my crib and they beat some of the chain furniture store prices.

You may want to try area Children's Consignment Sales like Just Between Friends. They are a great way to find everything you need for kids at a fraction of the cost! Check out www.jbfsale.com for more info! Good luck!

While not a baby store, IKEA has a great selection for space-conscious nursery furniture. We were able to fit two cribs (twins), a changing table, a dresser AND a rocking armchair in a small 1920s bedroom. With a closet and overhead shelves, we actually still have space in the room to move! IKEA furniture is designed for smaller (European) spaces, and therefore tends to be rather simple in design. The bonus is, of course, the price. We paid a fraction of the cost for our furniture which means we won't feel bad when we give it away after only 2-3 years of use. Good luck!

I recommend going to USA Baby in Richfield to at least look at all of the displays. I ordered my entire nursery from them. My furniture ended up coming in damaged and they weren't the best at responding to my needs, but in the end, everything worked out.

We bought ours from USA Baby in Richfield as well. Good quality furniture at reasonable prices.

I bought all my nursery stuff from Baby Depot it's part of the Burlington Coat Factory store. There are several around but the nearest to St, Paul would be either Maplewood or West St. Paul. Very reasonable too with prices and won't fall apart like Target or Walmart stuff. My cousin bought hers from Walmart and needed a new crib for her next child.
