NUBY feeder...i Cant Get It to Work, or Find Any Help! I Am Trying to Use the Nu

i am trying to use the Nuby 2oz bottle cereal feeder, and i cant get it to work. i put the cereal in, push the bottom up to get air out, and my baby sucks and suck and it isnt coming out. So i sucjed on it and some came out, but it really isnt ( sounds confusing i know) I need Mama help...aka easy directu=ions to make sure i am doing it right. i dont wanna be wasting stage 1 foods like i did the cereal

What can I do next?

So What Happened?™

THANKS FOR THE RESPONSES, I JUST LOVED READING THE REVIEW OF HOW IT COULD BE CONVIENANT TO USE ON THE THE GO.

my baby is 4 months, and i have the spoon, but it also came with a feeder bottle, so i was trying that for night time. Maybe it was too thick, but it also said that regular stage 1 foods could be used too. It is great for on the go as well. the kit came with a 2oz bottle, a sippy cup and a spoon attachment.
AND I have never heard you couldnt give cereal theu a bottle, why not?

Is this what you are talking about? You aren't supposed to suck on it you are supposed to squeeze a little out onto the spoon and feed it to baby like you would with a regular spoon. I would not feel comfortable if it's a bottle that she's supposed to suck on for the same reasons you never put cereal in a regular bottle. If she can't handle a spoon hold off on the solids she isn't ready yet.
Edited: first off you should not start solids before 6 months starting before then can cause allergies, digestive issues, been linked to obesity among other health issues. Second cereal in a bottle is a choking hazard!

How old is your baby? What's wrong with a normal spoon? If it's the one Rachel K posted, honestly a regular spoon is SOOO much easier! You don't have to hassle with filling it, you don't have to wash it in any special way... Plus, like Rachel said... if he can't handle it off a regular spoon he shouldn't be having it yet. (unless directed by a pediatrician...)

~it's not so much that you CAN'T give a baby cereal through a bottle... it's that you SHOULDN'T.

I never used one of those, but when I buy new sippy cups I usually have to use one of the prongs on a fork or a toothpick to open/loosen the hole a little. You might try that!

if your baby is old enough to eat cereal she is old enough to use the spoon return it and get your money back and use it on spoons

could be too thick. water it down with formula or breast milk.
