NRH20 Waterpark - Is It Appropriate for 18 Month Old?

I want to take my kids to NRH20 waterpark but have never been before. Is it appropriate for an 18 month old? My other kids are both 4. I'm wondering if there are areas for smaller kids like them. Thanks!

What can I do next?

Yes, there are areas for smaller kids that are fun. For myself I wouldn't take all three without help but maybe you are more capable than I am! Really it is a great place to go with kids.

Try a local spray park. Roanoke has one at Cannon Park. They can get wet without you worrying about them drowning and it is free at this park anyway. hd

We have season passes. And even though I take my 7 year old daily. I try to take my 11 month old granddaughter once a week. She loves it. She likes the special small kid area, but what she truly enjoys is the lazy river. There is something magical to her about floating on her back, so once she's in there it is hard to get her out!

I think your 18 month old will have a blast!

I think alot of people take their younger kids. I have never been, but we took our 12 month old to the one in Hurst and she had lots of fun.

I was just there yesterday! There's plenty for little ones to do. They have a kiddie area with ankle deep water. There are small slides right next to that area for the 4 year olds. A free swim area. The "splashatory"has some small slides for the 4 year olds that they can go on while you wait, in again like ankle deep water with water spouts popping up here and there that I'm sure your littlest one will find interesting. Then there's the lazy river which is only about waist deep on an adult. Even hanging out in the front of the wave pool is fun for the little ones if you don't feel comfortable taking them in too far. My kids are older but not that comfortable in the water and they love going there just for those areas and only a couple of the bigger slides. They don't venture onto the real high, fast ones. FYI, if you have a Star Telegram press pass it's half off for up to 4 people like every other Monday, all summer long. Also, Friday evenings after 5pm, (I think they're open until 10 that night)is half off admission. Every little bit counts. I second the person that mentioned the Hurst aquatics centers. Those are great too! Especially when you have little ones.

Just my opinion...but I would try the Bedford Splash park at the Bedford Boys Ranch. Having a young one like that can make going to NRH2O overwhelming. Its a much smaller scale but the same concept as NRH2O. I have 2 boys 10 & 11, and they still love going there! Check out the link... www.bedfordsplash.com

I have A 2, 4 YEAR OLD AND 15 YEAR OLD. WE HAVE ALways had season passes I love this place because all my kids have something to do. The little area for the itty bitties is still great for a four year old and when the four year old wants to play in the bigger kid area there is still a couple of things for me to do with the little one. plus I enjoy it and its safe. That is important to me. I even take my kids and my 7 neices and newphews who range between newborn-11 with me alot, without an extra adult. Its pretty easy since there is so much to do in one area. Have fun and maybe we will see you there!!! Just so you know I took my little guy there when he was 9 mos old and he loved it!!!!

i would suggest splash in bedford, it's a toddler water park and for only $6 it's ALOT cheaper than nrh20. and yes there is plenty for your 4 year olds as well.

Coppell's Aquatic Center has a very shallow pool with fun things to do that would be great for an 18-month old.
