Does anyone know if it is O.K. to drink non-alcholic beer (O'Douls) while pregnant? We are about to go on vacation and I was wondering if it was Ok to have an O'Douls? I would never drink anything with alcohol but I did not think a NA beer would hurt. Let me know your thoughts. I guess the easiest thing would be just to ask my doctor which is what I will do tomorrow.

What can I do next?

O'Douls isn't a truly non-alcoholic beer. If you read the label, it has a really low level of alcohol in it. I know this because I used to be a bartender and I couldn't serve non-alcoholic beer to minors because it does have some alcohol in it.

I know that there are some women who drink wine or beer (occasionally & only one) while they are pregnant, but since there isn't any scientific proof about how much alcohol it takes to cause fetal alcohol syndrome, I would suggest just steering clear of anything like that all together.

I used to be TABC certified, and we learned that even the non-alcoholic beer has a small percentage of alcohol. We still couldn't let anyone under 21 purchase it at restaurants. If I remember correctly, it was only about 1%. Some people feel that would be okay while being pregnant and others don't want even that much. Enjoy your vacation either way!

I drank a couple of non-alcholic beers while pregnant. The only problem I had was the taste.

I had a few non-alcoholic beverages in my last month of pregnancy. It didn't hurt anything, I would recommend Busch NA, it was the best out of all of them! Have a good vacation!

In my opinion I would say yes. I think I read in one of the many baby magazines that I get that it was ok, but it would be best to ask your doctor!! I would love to know what he say as well!!! Hope you have a wonderful vacation!!

Yes, you are fine with that. They will probably tell you to limit it just like any other soda or non-nutritious beverage. Just make sure you still drink all your water, but a non-alcoholic beer won't hurt. Of course go ahead and ask your doctor because you will feel more confident with his or her answer.

As far as cocktails, I always fond that virgin Maragritas were awful, but virgin Pina Coladas still taste great :) Have a great vacation!

I think it would be fine to do that but I would ask your doc. I have heard it's ok to have an occasional glass of wine while pregnant. I never did because I wasn't comfortable doing that but if you are ask your doc. Hope you have a wanderful trip! Congrats on your baby to be....( :

My thought is have a beer if you want to. Why pretend to have a beer? Either have a beer, or have fruit juice.
One beer isn't going to do anything but make you have to pee even more often.
