Nightime Diaper Leaking

My daughter always wakes up with wet PJs and a soaked sheet. I use Pampers Baby Dry diapers and they seemed to be working but now every night she leaks. Does anyone else have this problem or can you recommend a solution? Besides the hassle of changing the bed, I'm afraid that she gets cold and uncomfortable. Thank you!

What can I do next?

I took the advice and tried the Huggies. There was still some leakage so I went to the Pampers overnights and went up a size (thanks for that recommendation!) and there have been NO leaks with those! Thanks so much for all of the advice.

Another vote for Huggies Overnights! My son started soaking through those for a while as well so we put a pair of cotton training underwear (the thick padded cotton ones) over the overnight diaper and that did the trick.

Another vote for Huggies overnights! They've been a life saver! Pampers now makes an Overnight diaper as well as an extra absorbency type diaper too.

We found training pants in the One Step Ahead catalog. They help my son to stay dry at night even if his diaper leaks. These have been a real help-they're soft and comfy, and they help keep the bedding dry, too! They also have sheet protectors which have come in real handy.

I have always used Pampers diapers with my children, but not the Baby Dry, the Swaddlers then Cruisers. I now the Cruisers are a bit more, but are far as absorbtion they are great. And I have put them to the test! They seem to be able to soak up anything that comes their way. My oldest would sleep for 10-12 hours at night. She'd wake up with a huge swollen diaper, but no leaks!

My son had the same problem. Very annoying, isn't it? We like Huggies so we use the Huggies for night time that are extra absorbant. Then he got a little older and then he was even peeing through those so we now add a liner I get from BRU. They're something like $3.50 for a package of 30. My friend told me she added a maxi pad to her son's diaper to give extra absorbancy. It's really the same principle. A tip for you, if you're going to use the night time diapers, go up a size because they absorb even more. Just make sure you fasten them really well and you will get even more absorbancy power. Then if the night time diaper alone is leaking, add the liner. We've had very good luck with the combo. We maybe have an accident once every couple of weeks, and that's mostly because we probably could have put it on better, where before we were having it happen all the time.

Get the Pampers overnight diapers. They just came out a few months back and since I started using them with my daughter we have had all dry nights!!

Hi M. -
I am not familiar with Pampers diapers as I don't use them, but for night time we use Huggies OverNite diapers. We've found that they seem to hold a lot more that regular diapers. We used to have leaking diapers too overnight until we started using them. Good luck!
Blessings,
M.

There is extra absorbency Pampers now. But, in my experience, when the diaper isn't holding it in over night it is time to move to the next size up.

Also, when my daughter was learning to stay dry through the night someone suggested "puppy pee pads" to put underneath her to avoid changing sheets all the time. You could try that for your little one.

Agreed, Huggies night time diapers are the best!

My boys are now 7 and 5. I went through the same exact thing you are. I tried every type of diaper. My favorite brand ended up being LUVS. They hold with no leaks really good. I would really recommend trying LUVS you won't regret it. TRUST ME.....
