Nice Restaurant in Allen/Plano/McKinney
So, we're celebrating our 9th anniversary and need a place to dine tonight. :-) We've only lived in Texas for 3 months and there are just sooo many restaurants out there that we've to try. I'm thinking somewhere that we could walk away paying $50-$60 for both of us.
So What Happened?™
Thanks for the advice, ladies! :-) We had a superb meal at The Cheesecake Factory in Frisco and of course topped the night off with some delicious cheesecake! We ate there all time time in DC ... didn't realize we had one kinda close to us - thanks for the suggestion! :-)

I'm familiar with McKinney mainly, so here are my suggestions:
Italian: Amatos (Stonebridge Dr. & Virginia Pkwy in Albertson's parking lot)
French: Marry's Bistro (Eldorado and Lake Forest)
All around: Goodhues (off the square downtown)
Ricks' Steakhouse (off the square downtown)
A couple of places in Plano:
Jaspers (Parks @ legacy next to the Angelica)
Zea's (Tollway and 121 next to Blue Mesa)
Hope that helps!

Rick's Chophouse just opened in the old courthouse downtown McKinney. I hear it is really nice- but may be more like $100?

In the Shops at Legacy, there is a great Itallian restaurant that we both love. They make all their own pastas and it's wonderful! Call for a reservation for a Friday night.

My husband and I live in Allen and went up to Goodhue's up in historical McKinney. Their food was amazing and the atmosphere is nice. They have a great variety of food to choose from. If you go on a weekend night, I suggest you call ahead for reservations. You might be able to stay within your budget there if you don't drink alcohol.
Goodhue's Wood Fired Grill

congratulations!
We love Amato's in McKinney- http://www.amatosmckinney.com/
While it is in a strip center, the atmosphere inside is very nice. The food is fantastic. My husband is a New Yorker and very particular about Italian food and he loves it! I would say if you don't drink wine you could probably get out for $60-$70. Check out their menu on line. I like it too because it is not a chain. Enjoy!

I love the Cheesecake Factory at Stonebriar in Frisco. They have a very big menu. And of course, they have lots and lots of cheesecake :-)
PF Chang on Tollway at Frankford. Chinese restaurant. Very good once again.

Mimi's in Allen - no reservations, reasonable price, cozy atmosphere. French and New Orleans feel. Request a booth, but you have to sit across from each other so you can look into one anothers eyes.
Have fun!
The carrot walnut bread or muffin is a must!
