( New to the Site ) Wanting to Find a Workout Group or Workout Buddy

I am a mommy and since giving birth I have pretty much let myself go.
I am wanting to grab the bull by the horns and take charge of my life and be healthier for me and for my family.

I find it hard to work out on my own. I would love to join some type of group fitness or bootcamp fitness or even find an awesome work out buddy. I have a membership to lifetime fitness that I have had for a couple of months. My husband is a member and just signed us up recently.

Surely there is some information for bootcamps or another mommy who would love to make a new friend and workout buddy?

Thank you in advance!

What can I do next?

for years i have gone to Jean Silvertooth's boot camps for women. she is amazing, a mom, and has great work outs. She does a couple around town. you can check out her website. I have not been the last few sessions, but will be sarting up the next session. (these winter ones get TOO COLD for me). Hers are really the only time that I can get to and not completely disrupt my family's schedule. not sure where you are in the metroplex, but she is mainly in allen/plano/mckinney and S frisco

Try a baby boot camp. At Joe Farmer Rec Ctr in Allen they have baby boot camp classes to register for...I did it last year when they had a hard trainer that was wonderful. I liked being around other moms and it helped me get over a plateau. Only did it for two weeks.

Or you can try www.babybootcamp.com; it would be cheaper at the rec center.

I spend the majority of my time working at getting my body completely back in shape since giving birth to our second child in January 2009. I breast feed for a year; plus had to do a lot to get over suffering nerve damage from an epidural amongst other things. but I fought through it and have gone from 289 to 162. I have only 17 pounds to lose. Do what you can to find motivation to workout and you will accomplish your goals. You can do it.
