New to the Area. Looking for Doctors?
Hi Everyone,
My husband and I are new to the area and I am looking for referrals for some general medical services in our area. We live in Cary (on the border or Morrisville) but am willing to travel a reasonable distance for the right doctor, should I need to. I am looking for a good OBGYN for my yearly check up and one that might be able to help me out with some potential fertility problems (we're just in the beginning stages, but I have a nagging feeling its going to be a long road), a good dentist, optometrist, general family physician and of course, a great veterinarian for our little 5 year old Shih Tzu!

For dentists, I like Dr. Ferzli (smilesofcary.com) and Dr. Mann. For vets I like Wellington Animal Hospital for some things, but for others I like to go the extra distance to Bowman Animal Hospital and see Dr. Bowman who offers some alternative treatments. For an optometrist I like Dr. Toler in Apex. Sorry, I don't have a recommendation for an obgyn as I had a hysterectomy years ago. I also don't have a recommendation for a GP because I use my company's health care center.

They have offices at Rex in Raleigh also http://www.unchealthcare.org/site/aboutus/communitypracti.... I tried Duke first, but was not happy with them--they just wanted to go straight to the feritility treatments before we even started trying. I had a great experience with Dr. Mersereau and referred several friends who have also loved her.
