Hi D.! Welcome to TX! I'm M., mom to 6 children. My husband and I also moved to TX from CA when we were first married. I love TX. I grew up in MN so I didn't have my mom around when I was having children either, but dh's parents lived in the area here. We moved away from here right after my 3rd was born so I had the rest without any family around at all. I know what it is like to not know anyone around.

Congratulations on your new marriage and pregnancy. How exciting! Wow, you sure have had many changes in your life lately. Have you gotten plugged into a church yet?

I am 35 years old and live in Allen with my husband and 2 1/2 year old child and I am 12 weeks pregnant with our second child. If you and your husband want to come visit a church, we would love to extend the invitation to ours that is just a short distance from McKinney - it's in Plano. Finding a church is an excellent step meeting great mentors and women to help guide you along the way. Our church is starting a new series next week, so it would be a great time to check it out.

I would suggest going to meetup.com and joining some of the moms groups. There are several groups in your area to choose from. In fact, I belong to several of them and we have some pregnant moms as members. Each group has a message board and you can always post questions and get great advice from the other moms. Plus, you will already have made some new friends by the time your baby is born. Please feel free to email me if you need any help getting setup with the groups or if you just need someone to talk to. I am a first time, single mom and my little girl is about to turn 8 months old. I'm 29 so not old enough to be your mom but I suppose I could be like a big sister.
