Hi all moms,
I am still exploring Allen area and I am looking for suggestions for a new Pediatrician, Kids Dentist and a Family Doctor in the area.
Also I want my son who is 5 years old to join soccer (already late in registering him, swim lessons or some other activity for fun and learning. Any suggestions here. I am totally confused with so many choices out there.
He does go to Preschool extented care full time, but he has so much energy after that too that I feel it would benefit him if he goes for another activity.

Thank you for taking the time . . .

What can I do next?

My 2 yr old uses Dr. Danial Moulton ###-###-#### he is in -the presby allen hospital. For a family dr. my son and I -use Dr. Careing on the Triangle.###-###-#### They are a walk in facility which was new to me but they are awesome! Good luck. As for a kids dentist we all use Angle way. The dentist is so nice. They have tv's on the ceiling lol. They are at Exchange and Angel next to Walmart. Good luck!

We like Raintree pediatrics. They have after hours & weekend hours and an on call nurse. Our kids have seen both of their Drs and they are really good and their nurse practitioners are also great. It is also a great location...the lab for blood work is across the hall and the imaging center is downstairs.

They will charge you an arm and a leg if you let them...they will tell us that we need to bring the kiddo back in a few days for another shot or because their readings are off and they want to check again later...all should be nurse visits but we get charged for Dr visits. And you have to ask if EVERYTHING is covered under insurance otherwise they will do things that aren't without letting you know (like at a well visit when you expect everything to be covered).

Welcome to Allen. My daughter is 14 so I can't help you much with Dr. info.

We live on the West side of Allen and LOVE it. Our home is in the area where we are Allen residents but Plano schools. We would have been happy with Allen schools as well.

I LOVE the Watters Creek area. I do alot of my shopping at Market Street (great quality) and the shops within the center. Also, the restaurants are great as well. Watters Creek has a lot of activities for families that are free or nominal cost.

Allen has a great parks and recreation program. I would look into that for sports and swimming. When we lived in Allen we loved their Aquatic center and used the Rodenbough Center on a regular basis. Membership was reasonable and the facility is very up to date. They also have great parks. Here is a link:

The Angel Park had great playgrounds for my son. We still take him there at least once a month.
