I also recommend Pediatric Healthcare Associates. They are amazing there. My favorites out of the 4 are Dr. Kessinger (Male)& Dr. Menchaca (female). Both are amazing with the kids. I know Dr. Kessinger did a fellowship at Vanderbilt in Pediatric ICU. He is smart & good at catching things early. Both have a fabulous bedside manner & make the kids feel very comfortable. Dr. Kessinger runs on time. Good Luck & Congrats.

Our son is a patient of Dr. Alvis's at Stonebridge Pediatrics as well. We saw Dr. Alvis for a long time until we had to be worked in one day with his new nurse practitioner and now we see her exclusively! Betsy is great and VERY thorough. We had some issues with getting some answers from our son's other health care practitioners regarding tests and she was able to get them to call me within minutes. Something I hadn't been able to get in weeks! She is very kind and caring and is a new mom herself! Check her out!

Hi C.,
We just move to Mckinney last year as well. We are also expecting our first baby in Feb. I'm a nurse at Childrens medical center of Dallas. We are going to a couple of pediatrician interviews this week, so I will let you know more. Hope we can be friends.

Congratulations!! I highly recommend a pediatrician at Centennial Pediatrics, in Centennial Medical Center, on the corner of 121 and Coit. His name is Dr. Nail, and he is wonderful. He has two other gentlemen that he partners with. I have visited all of them, and have never been disappointed. There is almost never a wait, maybe 5 mins. at the most, and the nurses there are some of the nicest, and best. I have 2 year old b/g twins, and a 6 month old. There are times that I need to call them every day of the week with one question or another, and they are always nice. Dr. Nail is not a Dr. that will give you a prescription with every visit. He would rather take the natural route first. This was what I like most about him. I don't want to constantly give my children medicine, but don't get me wrong I will when they need it. For example, my daughter (6mths.) had really bad congestion, and instead of prescribing something he told me to keep putting saline in her nose and aspirate it out. I did exactly what he said and it cleared her up over time. Anyway, enough about me, he's a great Dr. that I have referred to numerous people. Good luck to you!! Being a mother is so incredible. Take care.

I agree with Kelly about All About Children Pediatrics. We've been with them since my now 4-year-old daughter was born and have seen everyone on staff at some point or another. We just had an issue with my 8 1/2 month old son over the holidays and we were in close contact with the staff despite the fact that the office was closed. Then, last week when he refused to eat, they worked their magic to get us into a feeding clinic right away (despite a totally booked schedule at the clinic) and have called a few times to check on him. They are really good, so, yes, they're busy, but I've never found that to be an issue. And, I've also used their lactation consultant this go-round and she was a life-saver for my mammaries & I!! Good luck and congrats on your pending arrival!!

Hi C.,
We use and highly recommend Centennial Pediatrics. Their offices are inside centennial Hospital on 121 and Coit. We use Dr. Newton, but the other 2 doctors also come highly recommended. They are not accepting new patients unless you either already have a child who's an existing patient OR if your child is a newborn. Good luck!

We have tried a few here in McKinney and after leaving one with a horrible experience we started at Pediatric Healthcare Associates ###-###-####. We have used Dr. Kessinger and usually go to Dr. Menchaca - we LOVE them both! Dr. Kessinger is a male and Menchaca is a female, in case you have a preference :)

Hi C.!
Congratulations on your impending motherhood!! I live in McKinney and interviewed quite a few pediatricians before the birth of my daughter (now 2 and half years old). We loved and still see Dr. Alvis at Stonebridge Pediatrics! We think he's great..we've never had a long wait time and he's close. We are now expecting #2 in a few months and of course...Dr. Alvis is still our choice.

Good luck!!
