Needing Help with a Valentine's Day Game.

Hi! We did pin the lips on the a big face for my daughter in Kindergarten. In 1st grade, we did the Valentine Bingo. She is now in 2nd and we are doing a game that sounds so fun...split into 2 teams - each team has a bucket of kisses and a pair of Valentine socks...1st person puts the socks on their hands, opens a kisss and eats it, then passes the socks and bucket to the next player...1st team done wins! Can't wait to see it in action! They love any game and will have a great time! Good Luck and Enjoy!

I am a Sunday School teacher for 1st and 2nd graders and they love a simple little timed game. You take the candy hearts and put a certain number, say 10 or so on a plate in front of them. You have a set of chopsticks for each child playing (usually 8 or so children at a time is enough with other children cheering them on). They have to use the chopsticks (no hands allowed) to pick up the hearts and transfer them to another plate. It helps develop their fine motor skills and they love it. For those who are intimidated by competition you could set up practice areas and then they could just try it without the pressure.

since it's been umpteen years since i've had a 4 or 5 year old...

if they'll sit for a little while...play bingo...with candy hearts instead of usual bingo pieces...or find some red and pink hearts to use as markers.

Also...you can either draw a body or a heart on a piece of butcher paper, hang it up...and have them pin the heart where it needs to go.

Make several hearts on the paper...and have different colored hearts for everyone and have them pin them on there. that's quick.

Bucket, medium sized hearts...have them do a variation of the clothes pin in the bucket game.

On second thought...do you want 22 very active 4 or 5 year old liquored up on sugar candy up and about in a classroom??

Google Valentines Day Party Games and you will get a TON

I too am a room mom but for 2nd graders and we are playing Valentines Bingo (found online and free), Find Your Heart Mate where I have cut in different angles lots of hearts and each child has a half and has to find their match. Both those you can do with little ones too.

For the Bingo though maybe instead of words do pictures like a heart, bouquet of flowers, kissy lips, candy, rose etc.

Memory Box - have several items in a box for each team to look at for 20 seconds or so. The team works together to record as many items as they can remember. Items of course holiday related.

Steal My Heart - each student uses chopsticks to try to "steal" conversation heart candies from a bowl

Marshmellow Kiss - each student sucks throught a straw to move marshmellows from their own pile to a cup. Of course use red, pink, white straws and marshmellows :)

I've got 4 year olds. I found some ideas on-line. I'm doing Freeze/Dance using a fun kids song and making a "heart candy box" - making a heart out of red poster board and gluing it to a box - cutting a big circle out of the middle - the kids throw bean bags through the center. They are supposed to be brown bean bags to look like "chocolate" - I bought some swirly straws at the dollar store to give as prizes. (the limbo is always an easy game for that age... you can use a pool noodle for the stick)

valentines jingo--you can get it at teach-mart in Keller.

Ditto to the Bingo-Candy Hearts or hersheys kisses are great markers and the kids love to eat their left over loot.

I picked up a valentine bingo game for my daughter and friends and they loved it. It had pictures so it made it easier. I cant remember what store, but I think it was a local one like party city. Hobby lobby or something like that may even have it.
