Need Wedding Ceremony/reception Ideas in EV
Hi All! I will be getting married sometime next year and need ideas for a place to have both the ceremony and reception, ideally at the same location. We are not "officially" engaged yet, he is still making payments on the ring! :) But it will be both of our second marriages, I had a big first wedding, he went to the courthouse. So we are consindering something in between and only for probably less than 100 people. I'm also considering it to be sort of informal but will still wear a full wedding drss and him a tux or nice suit. It WILL NOT be during the hot months and maybe as early as Jan/Feb so I wanted to start narrowing down choices now so we can decide right away after we are engaged and get a date and place locked in. So if you had a wedding in Gilbert, Mesa, Chandler, etc or have been to one in that area, please let me know the details!
So What Happened?™
Hi Everyone, thanks for the great responses! I will be saving all the links on my favorites and keeping details in a folder. We are going on a cruise the first weekend in Oct so if we don't get engaged on the cruise, it will be by that time, I'm sure! Then I feel like I can "officially" start making plans. I have decided I want a 'normal' wedding, just on a smaller scale. Probably will do casual/rustic so the places you guys gave me look perfect! I will probably post more questions as they come up. You guys have been a great help and I appreciate it!

Try Shenandoah Mill at Ray / Gilbert. It's a beautiful mill moved from Virginia and there's a beatiful arch to get married in outside.

My husband and I were married at The Palms on Southern on Southern just east of Gilbert Road. We had an outdoor ceremony in late October and an indoor reception. There is a pool outdoors that we were married over, or we had the option of using a side courtyard area. If the weather turned sour (it almost did but luckily it cleared just in time for the ceremony!) we had the option of moving indoors. The place was affordable and beautiful and was just what I had always dreamed of! I highly recommend you check it out. Best of luck and congrats on your engagement!

There are few that come to mind. Of course, the Wright House has already been mentioned. It is a historic home. Another historic home turned wedding venue is called The Antique Wedding House... http://www.antiqueweddinghouse.com/ ...on Mesa Dr. in downtown Mesa. I have also done flowers for several weddings at a mansion house called Stonebridge Manor...http://www.stonebridgemanor.com/ ...they have a large property that accomodates weddings of many styles and sizes. It is beautiful. I hope this helps! Congratulations!

I work at a beautiful country club in south Gilbert called Seville Golf & Country Club. We host many wedding ceremonies and receptions. It is truly a beautiful place for a special occation. We have two locations for the reception (the ball room and the private dining room) depending upon your number of guests. if you are interested speak with Jen (she is our wedding coordinator). Good luck...maybe I will be working on your special day!

This isn't in Gilbert, but what about the Arboretum (sp?) out in Superior (about 1 hour/15 minute drive)? It's absolutely gorgeous, and March should be a great month for an outdoor wedding. http://arboretum.ag.arizona.edu/location.html
Best of luck,

I got married at place just north of Ray and Gilbert. It's called Shenandoah Mill. My wedding was around 100 people as well. It was really nice. I had the ceremony outdoors and the reception indoors. Also, "It's Your Party" djs did a really fantastic job. For the same price I was getting for single djs, I got a couple. The husband did the music and the wife was my coordinator for the day. I didn't have a wedding coordinator so it worked out really great. I didn't have to worry about a thing. She took care of all the little details so I could enjoy my reception. Hope this helps. Congratulations!

I didn't get married in Arizona, but I have eaten at the Landmark restaurant in Mesa, and I would definately recommend it. I know they do weddings. Not sure how many they can accomodate. Their website is: www.landmarkrestaurant.com
I have also eaten at RigaTony's in Mesa, and they have excellent food as well. Not sure if they have an area for a ceremony. They do have a restaurant in Mesa, as well as in Chandler. Their website is: www.rigatonys.com
Hope this helps.

Hi F.-
My husband and I got married in Sept. of 2005 at Stonebridge Manor. It's in East Mesa and just wonderful! We were on a budget and found this place and the zoo to be reasonable. We ended up doing it on a Thurs. night because we'd save money and the last Thurs. before the "wedding season," so we got the out of season rate too. It was amazing and everything I wanted! They host the ceremony and the reception, so it'll be in the same venue, as you said you wanted. I think they do open house every Wednesday evening for prospective brides to tour the place. I wish you luck in finding the perfect venue. Smiles,
M.
