Need to Get a Dress Altered ASAP

Hello,

I will be a bridesmaid in two weeks and need to get some alterations done on my dress. Does anyone know of a good tailor with decent prices and can get the job done within 2 weeks? I'd appreciate any advice, thank you!

What can I do next?

Hi A.!
I've had great success with Parisian Dry Cleaner and Tailor in West Chester. They're on Walnut St., I believe. They won Best in Philly for alterations in '05 or '06. I think the prices are reasonable. I've had basic stuff like pants done, plus a bridesmaid dress. Hope it works for you!

I've used a woman who's based out of the Skippack area many times and she's AMAZING. She even custom made our bridesmaid dresses for my one friends wedding and works out of a bridal salon part-time. Her name is Dulce and the number is ###-###-####. She does the work right out of her house so it's really convenient! Good luck!

PS - she worked on my nieces flower girl dress to and I have pictures if you would like to see them.

My brother is getting married this Friday and I had last minute alterations (I'm 3 mths along). I know it maybe out of the way, but I took my dress to Kowloon Cleaners in Harleysville. They had to make changes to my dress twice and it was all in one week! They were so quick and efficient, I highly recommend them!! Good luck!

Most reputable dry cleaners also have tailoring services. I would call around and see who will do bridesmaid dresses.

My husband just had some tailoring done by the new dry cleaner in Eagle on Route 100 in the new shopping center beside Dunkin Donuts. I'm sorry, I don't know the name of the place. He was very happy with their work and their prices.

There is also a woman in Exton (near Walmart) who has been doing tailoring for years. The business name is Maridadi. She altered my wedding dress and I don't recall it being overly expensive. Here is her website. http://www.maridadisewing.com/ Just not sure how busy she is this time of year.

Good luck.
