Need to Fit THREE Carseats Across Lexus 3300- HELP

Parents magazine recently had an article on car seats. The only one they found that could fit 3 full carseats across in any vehicle was one made by Sunshine Kids. They said it surpassed safety ratings and spoke very highly of it. It is difficult to find as they are still such a small company, but there are two stores here in Colorado, only one in Denver, that sell them. They are expensive - about $280 a piece, but if it saves you buying a new car... Oh, they also fold - that's right - fold in half - for convenient carrying through the airport. Also, fit kids up to 80 pounds, so it can be used as a booster - could be the last car seat you buy for each kid.

We're looking to move to Italy, and all the cars over there are very small. They also sell carseats that are very small. Some are made by the same makers as we have here, others are different. (Ferrari makes are really cool one for an arm and a leg.) I have done some research for other things by going to the main website and clicking on Britain or doing .uk at the end. Sometimes, the things are made here, so you can buy them here even though you have to shop on the UK's website. Then you don't have to pay shipping from England. You might check that out if you can't find somemthing in the stores. We did check it out while we were in Italy shopping, and it is possible to do two forward facing and one booster with their carseats, even in small cars.

i had twins & the same car - it was perfect until number 3 came along 12 months later - now 3 in carseats - i had to buy a new car as I just couldn't get them to fit - I even drove to the fire department to see what I can do & they just laughed at me. So now I have a toyota sienna & my life is so easy (at least in terms of the ease of car & seats....)

Does your car have LATCH? I know that my Honda Accord does, but it will only fit 2 car seats utizing the LATCH system (and there is no room for an additional person). If I want 3 people in the back seat, I can only have one car seat in the middle.

You might call your dealer and see if they have any recommendations. Also take the car to Babies R Us. You might be able to take the floor models to the car and strap them in to see if they'll fit before you buy them.

Personally, I'd trade in the car for a 3 row SUV or Mini-Van. Good Luck!
