Need to Find Yoga in North Central Austin--too Much Back Pain!!!

Hi Ladies, I am 6 months pregnant with my second child. This pregnancy has been completely different than my first in that I have lower and mid back pain and swollen feet and hands. I feel like my abdominal muscles are ripped apart and cannot bear the weight. My OBGYN suggested I try yoga. I bought a prenatal yoga video but I am just not that into it. I think maybe enrolling in a class would help. Do you know of any good, but affordable yoga places that offer prenatal classes? I live near Highland Mall, so close to home would be ideal.

What can I do next?

Yoga Yoga is located all over Austin and has well trained certified teachers for all kinds of classes, including prenatal. Their web site is yogayoga.com, I think. Just google them. They're great.

Hi V.,

I work at Yoga Yoga and we have a lot of prenatal classes that would be very helpful for you. The location that would be closest to you would be the North location it is at Burnet and Anderson Lane. Go to www.yogayoga.com and check out the schedule.

Good luck,

L.

Yoga Yoga has some great prenatal classes. They used to have coupons on their website for a free class so you can try it out first. I loved prenatal yoga when I was pregnant as it really helped me be more comfortable as well as tuned in to the pregnancy. Good luck,

i agree with all the other responses, Yoga Yoga is probably your best bet. they have locations all over town (and even have teachers working in Round Rock at Seton Williamson's Good Health Commons). there are a variety of classes and as paying for classes go, are not unreasonable.

i did prenatal yoga at yoga yoga and *loved* it! now i'm trying to do postnatal yoga there (you can take your baby to class with you) but my son seems to be having meltdowns in class lately so we don't go consistently now. the cool thing is that with your class pass, you can go to any class really so i can still use my classes with or without my son (now if i can just arrange some baby free time for exercise, haha).

i hope this helps you and i hope your symptoms get better...have you tried swimming (or just being in a pool)? that helped immensely with my swelling and back aches when i was in the last part of my pregnanancy.

have a great day!

Yoga Yoga has two north locations, one at Burnet and Anderson the othe other at Mopac near Parmer. They offer pre-natal as well as post-natal classes. www.yogayoga.com.
