I am moving in two weeks and am looking for a consignment store that takes children's toys and clothing. I'm only finding ones that take appointments during the week, or only taking clothing. I have lots of toys. I am in the cypress/buena park area. Please help!

What can I do next?

If you don't need the cash, you can take them to the Goodwill, get a tax receipt and you put the value of them and write them off as a Donation on your taxes. Thats what I do! A couple of consignments stores I know of are:
1)Children Orhcard, which I assume is who you have already tried (appointment only). Buth their are also locations in Huntington Beach, Lake Forest, Cypress.
2)Precious Repeats
11446 East South Street, Cerritos, CA 90703
phone: ###-###-####
3)Belinda Gayton - Retail Sales & Merchandise
9252 Cerritos Ave, Anaheim, CA 92804
phone: ###-###-####
fax: ###-###-####
email: gaytangmail.com
4)Wearagains For Kids
15061 Edwards St, Huntington Beach, CA 92647

Hope it helps!!

I am guessing you are speaking of "Childrens Orchard" as well. Call again and ask if you can drop the goods off to day and come back on Friday/Saturday (whenever works for you) to get the owners answer. Then they can take their time, and you don't have to just stand around waiting. I have seen both Lafe Forest (El Toro) and Cypress accept this. The owners are usually very fair. Aside from this, I can only suggest Good Will, CHOC, or something to the same likes. Evaluate the approximate value (rounded up of course) and take in your assessment when you go. They will often agree with your assessment and give you a donation reciept accordingly. OBVIOUSLY, you can't say "I paid $40 for this toy 2 years ago, so it's still worth $35." It will be closer to $10. At the end of the year, a little bit of return on your taxes is always nice.
Hope it helps~ J.

Hello,

I know there is a new consignment shop in Los Alamitos. It's call Inch by Inch. If you take Cerritos Ave to Los Alamitos Blvd and make a left then make a left onto Florista (I believe that is the name of the street) It has a light signal. It's across from the VCA Animal Hospital.

Hope this helps. I don't think if they take appts or walk-ins.

Best of Luck with the move.
M.
