I need rashguards/swimshirts for my boys for vacation in October. I am in the SW suburbs of chicago. Does anyone know of any "Swimsuit stores" or someplace that would carry these at this time of year? Since these shirts run very different with sizing I really do not want to order online. I am afraid I would be paying to ship them back.

** I should add that I need 5 of them...5 different sizes. Lands End only has a couple sizes left to order. I am finding this everywhere. I definitely waited too long!

Dick's Sporting goods by us had some last spring. Do you have one by you that you could check out? They are really really hard to find. Probably more so at this time of year.
I dont know about IL, but I was at Target yesterday (in Tx) and they had a ton of them on the clearance racks....(in the kids section)

What's a swim shirt, like a tee shirt? I am so very curious because we always just slip on a tee if the sun is bearing down too brightly so the kids won't burn.
Have you checked the sporting goods stores like Sports Authority or Dick's yet? That might be your best bet, if you don't want to buy online. Good luck!

Both, whenever I've ordered from the, also have had free shipping options... their sizing charts have also always been really accurate. DO remember that rashguards are *supposed* to be skin tight, just like nylons, and not flopping around like a regular shirt.
LLbean and Lands End online usually have them as well. Consignment stores always have lots of them by us (Boston suburbs). I think Sport Authority and Olympia Sports stores carry them as well in their swim section. Cheers.

Although in MI, Third Coast Surf Shop in New Buffalo is only about 1 hour from Chicago. They have rashguards & UV shirts year-round and everyone there couldn't be nicer or more helpful. You can order on-line if you can't make the trip-- though New Buffalo is worth a trip!

I know you said you don't want to order online but I got my son's from onestepahaed.com and the sizing was like that of your average everyday shirt.
