Need to Find a New Ob/Gyn

My health insurance is changing, and my current Ob/Gyn (Pam Richards), who is great, is not an option anymore. She delivered our first child, and I trust her immensely, so the thought of randomly choosing a new doctor at the time when we are talking about having another baby is difficult. I would welcome any information (positive or negative) about Ob/Gyn doctors in Colorado Springs. The top three providers I am considering, who are covered on my new insurance, are Lee Ann Hammond, Peter Bianco, and Roland Baiza. However, I could choose from any doctors with CSHP, Academy Women's Healthcare, Colo. Spgs. Partners in Women's Health, or Associates in Women's Care. Thanks for any thoughts you have to offer that will make my decision easier.

What can I do next?

Dr. Judith Brinkman (CSHP on Barnes). She's great! Very straight forward. Also, I saw her for all of my prenatal visits except for one throughout my pregnancy. Lots of my friends said they rarely got to see their doctor so that's a huge plus.

Ellen Arendt is a wonderful OB/GYN I have had her for 10 years and will not go to anyone else she is located in Penrose community I believe she is with Assoc of women. I love her there are 5 of us on my street who go to her and we are all different and we all still love her. Good luck. D.

Hi there
Dr. Baiza delivered my daughter 7 months ago and he is wonderful. I had a pretty difficult labor and he remained calm the whole time and kept me calm the whole time. He's easy to talk to and knows what he is doing. He has a great personality also. My husband and I both really like him and he will deliver our next child :-D

I have been really happy with the CSHP group on Barns on the North side of Town. I see a PA there Jeanie Sweet, who has been supportive and helpful. They do not call you back with test results, you have to call them, but otherwise they have been great. I hope this helps.

My professional recommendations would be:
1. Dr John Baer, ###-###-####
2. Dr Lisa Hovenga, ###-###-####
3. Dr Jack Tubbs, ###-###-####
4. Dr Lee Ann Hammond, ###-###-####

Dr. John Baer ###-###-####) is absolutely the best. He is an amazing professional and has a kind, calming spirit.

I absolutly recommend Dr.Baiza, he is my ob/gyn and delivered my son and would deliver more if we weren't moving away! his nurse Amanda is so nice and makes your visits better just dealing with hergood luck in your decision.

I love my doctor. He is Dr. Weary at Academy Women's Healthcare Associates. All of the doctors that I have met there have been great, though. Dr. Baiza actaually delivered my last baby because he was the one on call at the time. I like him a lot, too.
Both of my sister-in-laws go to Dr. Hammond and really like her. So I think she would be a good choice as well.
I had a horrible experience with Dr. Jordan a few year ago, and I would not recomment her. Good luck with your search.

I recommend Dr. Roland Baiza!!! I used him for my whole pregnancy and he was great. My pregnancy with my little boy was very high risk and he took a lot of precautions. I will use him for all of my future pregnancies and other needs.
