Need the Right Wording for Baby Shower Invitation
I'm helping out with my friend's baby shower and cannot seem to get the right wording down for this invitation. First of all, it's "by invitation only" (no hubbys, boyfriends, or kids...ladies only). We are celebrating my friend's birthday & baby shower and the theme is "paris" and "pink ladybugs"...do i need to include that part in the wording? It's pretty evident in the the inviation I designed. She is also registered at Bergstrom's (not as well-known as Target or Babies R Us) so I'm not sure if I should include the store locations or website. All this info in addition to the time, place and RSVP info seems so overwhelming...how can I fit this on a 8 x 6 card! All you word-savy mammas...Help!

Fear not, I had a ladies only baby shower. Instead of writing ladies only on the invite it was written on the envolope in the address ex:
Miss Jane Hope
725 Baby lane
vista, Ca.
this way it is addressed only to the person who is invited to the party. If there is more than one person at a house hold. you address both. Ex:
Miss Jane and Mary Hope
725 Baby lane
vista, Ca. 92739
If they have different last names thats ok to EX:
Miss Jane Hope and
Miss Mary Jones
725 Baby lane
vista, Ca. 92739
This worked for me without a hitch.
Now about the registery for Bergstrom's did you recieve any registery cards? if not info may be helpful. Again I ran into this problem as well. I was resistered at two locations so we but the two different store names on a
5 1/2 x 4 1/2 card that complemented the invation ie. same color and design. Don't get youself to stressed out, there is a rule of thumb good friends + good food = good fun !
good luck and remember to
enjoy yourself as well.

Hello there. Ebay is always a great place to get invitations or copy the wording from there. They have a ton on there. Good luck!

For any invitation I have done, I have looked up 'baby shower invitation wording' online and get several websites with lots of information. I would definitely suggest you put some information on the place she is registered at since it might not be familiar to some people(like the website).
Good luck!

Check out online wordings for ideas and then just be creative! As for the registry information you can include a cute little business card, make one if the store did not give the mom any, include the website, store name and mom's name.
As for the no kids rule it's a touchy one. Some people get super offended and others love it. I personally adore the no kids rule sometimes because it means I get to go out and be L. w/o kid! It's fun adult time. Others view it as a personal slight against them and their child. So be ready for some negative comments from people. Sorry.
Anyways you can include that information on the bottom of the invite such as "Sorry no husbands, friends, boyfriends, or children allowed"

I don't think you need to note the theme unless gifts should all have that theme incoportated in it.
For the registry, I would type up a small piece of paper and add that as an insert or simply put down the bottom of the invite that "So and So is registerd at Bergstorms". I don't think you need to include the website or address but you can if you do the little insert.
As for the ladies only part, they should know from how the invite is addressed on the envelope. Otherwise, maybe say when you say it's a baby shower/birthday party call is a ladies only baby shower/birthday party.
Good luck!
