Need the BEST Pediatric ENT in Austin, TX

I'm looking for the best ENT for my 11 month old daughter. My current ENT says she needs tubes. I would like a second opinion and someone I can trust to do the surgery. My current doctor doesn't want to do it at Dell Children's but instead at a surgical center. Heaven forbid if something goes wrong, but if so, I would like them to be specialized in pediatrics. I have not had the best luck with Austin doctors and don't feel very comfortable using them, but if any of you know of a good one that does tubes, I would love to know....

What can I do next?

I agree with the last poster. My son had tonsils and adenoids out in January. Dr. Nowlin was his surgeon and was fantastic. By the by, the head of anesthesiology was on my son's team, and (unsolicited) told me that Dr. Nowlin is who he uses for his kids... and a couple of nurses told me the same. Good luck.

We all go to Dr. Chris Thompson with Capital Otolaryngology, including our seven year old daughter that has been seeing him since she was four. Since almost every doctor mentioned in the replies so far is with this practice, I would say this is the best place to start. He's never done surgery on any of us - their website says they offer "Our own state-of-the-art outpatient surgery center (Texan Surgery Center) specializing in all of the services we provide", so I'm not sure if this practice is from where you have already been given the first opinion, but we've had wonderful experiences there so far. The info is below...good luck!
