Need Suggestions on a Daddy Book

My brother just found out he and his wife are expecting. He is one of those people that need to read everything to think he knows what he is doing. So I was hoping you all would know a good book that might help him along the path to fatherhood and beyond. A great survival guide or how to book would be great! Thank you in advance!

I've heard good things about "Be Prepared: A Practical Handbook for New Dads" it's practical and pretty funny. For the labor side of things, I always, always recommend "Ina May's Guide to Childbirth" by Ina May Gaskin for men, women, everyone. It has THE best and most interesting information about labor. It's such an eye opener. "The Birth Partner" by Penny Simkin is also good for preparing for labor.

A good daddy pregnancy book is "My Boys Can Swim!"

Here are some good dad parenting books for a new child. I prefer Dr. Sear's, but there are some more humorous, manly oriented ones out there. Definitely read the reviews:

The Everything Father to be Book by Kevin Nelson was gifted to my hubby when I got pregnant. It's a book full of pretty basic concepts for fathers to be - not so much about baby, but surviving pregnancy and preparing for what it means to have a baby in your home. It was pretty simple, but I think men need simple and spelled out things sometimes :p

My husband loved "What to Expect When Your Wife is Expanding". Great book and a fun read for both of you.

If he has a good sense of humor, get him "Safe Baby Handling Tips"

I bought this when I was about ready to pop and needed a good laugh. I still can't remember a time when my husband and I laughed so hard together. I finally ripped my favorite pages out of the book, framed them, and hung them in my son's room.

There are two that I love; one is an intro to daddying, by Dr. Sears, called Father's First Steps, and the other is called The Fatherstyle Advantage, by O'Shea and Windell. Also, I would suggest Nurture Shock and The Science of Parenting, and Raising Cain if they are having a boy.
