Need Some Girl Name Advice
Hi Mamas!!
I just found out that I am expecting a little girl. I am so excited, this will be our second daughter. We have been throwing a few names around, and I was just wondering if I could get some suggestions out there. The middle name is set, it's just the first name that I'm a little unsure of. The middle name(s) is going to be Linda Hiroko (After our mothers). I was thinking either Emily or Kaitlyn. But both are sort of common, and I don't want her to be in classes with other girls with the same name. My oldest daughter's name is Brooklyn. I don't think that she'll be able to ever find her name in novelty items and I don't want her to feel left out if her younger sister can.
So if anyone out there can help with a first name that isn't too common and would go with the middle names, I would love to hear the suggestions. My husband likes names that start with "K".
Thanks in advance,
L.
So What Happened?™
Thank you for all of your suggestions. I think we have settled on Emily, it just seems "right".

I hear you about the novelty items and sibling rivalry aspect. My daughter Madeline is excited the few times she finds items. My little Elliot is always dissapointed though and gets mad when she has something and he doesn't.
Here are my ideas:

Try going with a name that reflects the "culture" or ethnic background of you or your husband. Then there will be a personal link and appreciation of their name, since it is their heritage.
That is what we did with our children.

I had trouble naming my third! He was one of those BC surprises LOL I had my second child only 14 months before my third, so I was not ready for any more babies and I put off EVERYTHING in preperation for #3! I had no names for him at all, I was sitting in the hospital labor and delivery room, dialated to 8-9 and BAM decided on Corey, went in for an emergency C section (major trouble with baby #3) anyway out came my greatest gift IAN LMOA. Not sure where the name even came from, but that is what we understood his name to be. Turns out that it means 'A gift from God" and that is exactly what he is! So do not panic about your daughter's name just yet, maybe it will just come to you when you see her for the first time. Congrats on the newest gift to your family! Bless you all!

Since you have such a long middle name deal going I would give her something short. It rolls off the tongue better and makes it easy to learn when you are little. Kia was a nice suggestion, but you may want to go with one syllable. Names sound the best when you use different syllables from name to name. Some old fashioned ones like Kay or Kit are not being over used at the moment.
