I am throwing one of my dearest friends a bridal shower. I was hoping to get some ideas for games or other activities anyone can recommend. I want it to be sort of embarrassing but not horribly. Thanks!

What can I do next?

We have done the big bra thing- you get a big bra and you tell everyone to not cross their legs and if they do then they have to wear the bra- it is fun and people forget about it after awhile and then everyone notices and that is fun-
Also you could take her out of the room and see if anyone noticed what she had on - ask questions lilke- what kind of earrings is "bride to be wearing?"
what color is her shirt? how many rings is she wearing-
If is just friends (like her mom) you could play a game show and ask her questions about her relationship and have the other people write on a card what their answer is and then have her show hers. when did you first kiss- where did you meet-
and then you could get more in to detail and personal.
Have fun!
If you have a couple shower you can have tons more fun-
I have suggestions for that one!

You could do like a game show type thing. Where you put her up front on a chair and ask her questions about her soon to be husand. You'd ask her fiance the same questions before hand and write down his answer. The game part of the guests woudl be to write down how many they think she'll get right.

The closest one wins.

A shower that I went to recently, someone wrote down some quotes that the bride to be said while opening gifts. Then take them completely out of context, by stating these are things that she will say on her wedding night.

One of the things that was said at this shower was in regards to an electric griddle when the bride to be said WOW, thats big, do you think it will fit in the cupbord. Well when it was repeated back, the in the cupboard was left off. Some of them most innocent things turned ot to be SO funny.

It is a family tradition that we do a big obnoxious corsage. For wedding showers we go with the theme. If it's all girl friends I might do something like a BIG pair of grandma panies with KY sample and hair curlers attached to it with ribbon... if it's all family do a kitchen themed one with mini wisk, measure spoons, you get the idea with kitchen items. For a batchlerett party we always do thongs with condoms (some open and some not) packaged together with ribbon. It's always the topic of conversation... Make sure if it a bad one to not present it to her until the shower starts.
As far as games: brake up into 2-3 teams pick on player on each team to be the bride (like the youngest or those not yet married) and each team will make a bridal outfit out of toilet paper. However my favorite is you ask the boyfriend 20 questions. Write down his questions then put the bride on the spot can she get the questions right. All the guest have to guess how many she get's right and find out before the game begins. Some questions can be easy to start like what kind of tooth past does he use? What is his shoe size? Name of his first pet? How old was he with his first crush, bonus if she knows her name! When the bride get a question wrong she has to chew a piece of gum... WOW the more she get wrong the harder it is to keep chewing all the gum!
Enjoy and good luck... Can you tell I love party planning!

The toilet paper bride is a lot of fun. Gets people together that may not know each other and everyone has a great time. Bride chooses the winning group (who then gets prizes.)

Ask the bride (and groom) questions, like where did you meet? Where was your first date? What is your favorite color? How long did you go out before your first fight? etc. Then make it into a game sheet of the questions where your guests answer the ?s' and see who knows the couple the best.

My sister had some really good games at my shower. One of them was a memory game, She bought about 10 things of the registry and attached them to a kitchen apron(things like kitchen gagets, wisk, measuring cups, sponges, woodedn spoon, chip clips and a few other things from around the house) She then pined them on the apron which I had to wear and model for my guest. They had like 2 or 3 minutes to memorize the item and I left the room and they had to write down what they could remember. You could do a more risky one, like thing in the bedroom if you are having a friends shower(a thong panty, condom, KY, Instructional Book, massage oil, kinky toy.... get creative and silly!)
Another game...which was really funny was, every one was given a paper grocery bag and told to open it and put it over there head. They were then instructed to take off all items that were not nessesary, every one was taking off earings, rings, necklaces, shoes, scarves, sweaters(if they had another shirt on)I think that there may have even been a bra on the floor!.... but not many realized that the paper bag was not very nessesary and continued to wear them. The winner was the first one to take the bag off their head, but they had to actually put it on first.
Let us all know how the shower goes and the games that you choose. Good luck and have fun.

At my wedding shower years ago, one of my bridesmaids had some questions she asked my fiance beforehand, and I was supposed to guess the answers to these questions. One was, What does (bride to be's name) wear to bed?, another was What was (bride to be's) most embarrassing moment. It was very funny and very memorable. I wish I could remember more, but you can make them up easily. Kind of like a newlywed game. I still remember that 8 years later. Have fun!

One fun game that was done at my friends bridal shower was this: They blind folded her mother and her soon to be mother in law and had bag of make up. The mothers (since they have so much experience with makup up and looking nice) had to grab something from the bag, and try and figure out what is was by feeling it and put it where they thought it belonged on the bride. They even had hair pieces in there to do her hair. The results were so funny. She had lip gloss on her eyes and makup on her lips, etc. It was a really neat and unique game. Have fun!
