Hi M.,
Maybe this is obvious but please interview and take some time to get to know anyone you meet on line before you let your toddler get into a car with him or her. I love the mamasource mamas as well and I'm sure 99.9% of us are all here to help and be helped, but there's always that chance that you may find someone who is less than genuine and you just never know what could happen with a stranger and your little one once they are out of your sight.
Have you tried asking at the preschool? Maybe the teacher knows someone or would be willing to post a note to see if one of the other moms would be willing to help since they are going there anyway.
I hope this note doesn't seem patronizing. I certainly don't mean it that way. I wish you all the luck on the world and hope you find someone wonderful who is willing to help.

You need to post your location, location of the school and times/days/hours that you're looking for a ride.

Hi M.,
Now, you didn't mention what area you lived in for the transportaion need BUT.....
A couple years ago I remember seeing a company that called themselves "mommy taxi" or something close to that. Where they picked kids up from school, home, daycare, to deliver them to soccer practice, after school functions, dental appt's etc....for mom's that worked full time. I remember thinking I wished they had had this when my boys were younger. I always felt like a terrible mom because I couldn't always allow them to go to after schools programs while I was working. I couldn't just leave work to drive them & pick them up...or if I did do that then I was the parent that everyone hated because I could not stay to watch practice or sit around & gossip with the other mom's (which I would prefer to skip anyway)....
But, I recall thinking " I wish I had thought of that".....Look in the yellow pages in your area, or online. I bet there are still a few of them out there. It was an idea where once I saw one, I saw about 20 different ones open up, don't know how many are still out there??? I bet a local daycare may have a referal for you??
Good Luck,

Dear M.,
I've been a single mom a long time and been lucky enough to ride share for things I couldn't attend. For a while, the morning rides weren't an issue but I needed help in the afternoons and depending on my work schedule, sometimes it was the opposite.
I would try talking to your son's teacher and getting to know other parents in his class.
I don't know where you are, but in my county, they have Humboldt Child Care Council that helps pay for before and after school care for working moms. They also have references for screened providers. You hopefully have something like that around you. My son had friends that got a ride every morning and I dropped him off and they took him with their kids. We got to know each other very well and even went camping together as families, etc. I couldn't have worked without their help and trusting them and they really loved my son. You say you keep getting NO's so maybe you've tried other parents in class already, but I would start there and by asking the teacher for resources. Google Child Care Councils and subsidies in your area. They screen and fingerprint.
Who will watch your newest baby? Any chance they can help with transportation?
I wish you the best and hope you get it worked out.
