Need Recommendations on Good Floor Cleaner

Hello everyone!

I was hoping for suggestions on a good cleaner for my laminate wood floors. My boys are hard on them and the stuff I've tried so far hasn't been up to my standards. Thanks a lot!

What can I do next?

I have a Haan (or is it Hahn, I can't remember the correct spelling...) steam floor cleaner. I have used it on tile and vinyl, but not on laminate. It uses steam only, no soap or detergents. I love it! I've read that it is safe for hardwoods and laminates, but I haven't actually used it on those.

I recommend a Shark Steam Mop! I love it.

My Mom and Aunt have been cleaning houses for years and they use (amonnia free) windex to clean floors.Unless it's real wood floor then they use another product but I would have to double check with them on the name of that.I know they have used Bona at their own homes on wood floors.Good Luck!

i always say go natural when you can! it leaves less streaks and film. (i have laminate floors and it seems like normal cleaners make it look cloudy. atleast it does to me!) i order from an online wholesale club that has all natural products, so what i use is the mela-magic cleaner. i LOVE it. i use it on my floors and on my stove and things like that. its concentrated, so it helps you save money too. here it is http://melaleuca.com/ProductStore/Product.aspx?sku=5025 you need a membership since its whole sale, if you want help with that, let me know (or if you are curious about the work at home side of working with the company) go to http://PerfectWorkForMoms.com and i can help you out with all of that!

I've tried different ones, but always come back to Bona floor cleaner. It is only found in hardward stores such as Westlake. It can be a little pricey, but I really like the results.

Oxyclean! Mixing it with hot, hot water and mopping will get rid of grime and also germs. I swear by it. Safe for kids and safe for pets. We've got hardwood and carpet...I use our steam mop (bissel) too, but our hardwood is real hardwood. So, in our previous house--I used oxyclean on laminate floors. Worked WONDERS. You can also try a first mopping of vinegar/water combo, let dry and then go at it with the oxyclean combo. Vinegar helps sanitize and breaks down the junk that gets caked on. But, I have heard about steam mops causing issues with laminate flooring...so, call the manufacturer first.

I bought a great little floor steam cleaner from Walmart.com for about $35. I was very pleased with it. Doesn't require any chemicals and seems to clean things really well and from some of the other comments online, it works as well as the $100 versions.

Good Morning T., I like my Swiffer Wet Jet, sometimes it leaves flimy streaks though, so a rinse is needed at times. But I think I will check out the steamer too.

God Bless Hope you find something that works
