Need Recommendations for Double Strollers

My 2nd daughter is due in April so my girls will be 2 years and 2 months apart. I'd like to get a double stroller that is a tandem vs. side to side for better use in stores, etc. I've looked at the Graco DuoGlider and a Sit and Stand. Does anyone have a double stroller that they love and would highly recommend? Thanks!

What can I do next?

I have a JEEP side-by-side. We went through 3 double strollers before I found one I liked. I LOVE THIS STROLLER. It folds up small, so light-weight. The kids love sitting by each other. I have had no problems fitting it through doors. Good luck!!

I have the Graco for my kids - 17 mos apart. It was too heavy and bulky and difficult to maneuver. I agree w/ the other poster. If I had to do it all again, I would go with the side by side. Good luck!

We have a Graco duoglider and it is alright. When our 2 year old rides in front, steering is a little challenging. It has a lot of great features and definitely steers better than others in that price range. We could not afford hundreds of dollars for a stroller and this was a good option. Our kids are now 2 and 10 months and we just got a double jogging stroller - it handles beautifully compared to the other! I originally wanted a tandem for the same reasons, but the steering makes it somewhat obnoxious to take anywhere - plus, even folded it barely fits in our Accord trunk. If you intend to use it for any sort of fitness (even walking) I recommend the jogging style instead. We wanted the duoglider rather than the sit and stand so that we could buckle in our 2 year old more securely.

I have the Sit and Stand Deluxe which means you can use the back seat as a seat, or take the seat part off and use it as the Sit N Stand bench. The front part can hold an infant car seat, or be a regular seat, so it is good for several stages of children. I really like it. I used to have the regular sit and stand, but I gave it to my sister because I liked being able to have a real seat in the back, but still having the option of the Sit N Stand bench. It also has a cup holder for the front child and the mom. I really like it, and it goes on sale at ShopKo quite a bit.

We have the Peg Perego Aria Twin and have been very happy with it. Although it is a side by side, we never had trouble going through doors or maneuvering through stores. We had a tandem when they were little but once they got bigger, we preferred the side by side. Good luck

To the park, the zoo and other longer walks I recommend the Graco Duo- it is a great work horse of strollers.
You can find them in great shape used for about $20 in garage sales and on Craig's list. I got one four years ago for $15 and it is still in great shape.

For every day errands in and out of the car and stores, library and in tight spaces I recommend the Phil and Ted with a doubler.

Get the Phil & Ted's tandem (they make a side-by-side too) Sport or E3 (not as good) or Vibe. I have the Sport and I LOVE it. It is super narrow and very lightweight. I bought mine on Ebay (new) and it was cheapest there. But Toys R Us and specialty stores carry them. Email me if you ahve any questions about it- I would be ahppy to answer. Good luck!

I loved by Graco Duo...I also have a double jogger, but it's only for outdoor use and it's still functional for a 3&5 y.o.
