Need Preschool/Daycare Advice
I am starting a new job in the mckinney area (380 & 75) & am looking for a preschool/daycare for my 3 1/2 year old daughter. All of the Primrose schools in the area have waiting lists until May. I've checked the two schools below out thru the CPS site & they checked out fine but would like to hear any input you may have regarding them...Childrens Lighthouse & Heritage Learning Center. Would really like to place her in a church preschool but will be working from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Do you know of any great church preschools that offer full day classes? Any advice will be greatly appreciated...Thanks in advance!

So What Happened?™
Thank you everyone for your responces. They, along with the many other postings about daycares were were very helpful. This would have been much harder without the mamasource moms. I was able to get my daughter into Primrose of Forest Creek. The location is perfect. I was planning on buying a home in that area later this summer. Perfect! Than you all!

I send my son to a GREAT preschool at Hwy 75 & Wilmith (just North of 380) I don't think they can help you until you daughter is in the 4's class, but they do have a 5 day/week 4's class w/before and after school care. My son is in that class now and it has been a WONDERFUL experience!!
I know this won't help you now, but look into it for next year (if she is 4 before Sept 1) It is called North Texas Christian Academy ###-###-####. Their 6 month to 3 year old classes are only 2 days a week, but they offer before/after school care for them too. They have 2, 3 or 5 day a week classes for 4's and have kindergarten to 6th grade.
Good luck to you!!

I am not sure how far Primrose School of Forest Creek is for you, but I think they may have openings. You should give them a call. I would not settle for anything other than Primrose :-) ###-###-#### is the phone number. Good Luck!

We used Children's Lighthouse on Eldorado in McKinney and they were awful. We had out daughter there for about two months, now she is at Primrose on Virginia. I know that they have a wait but I would go ahead and put my name on the list and switch your daughter when a spot is available. They are wonderful!! I would not recommend the Lighthouse AT ALL!!

Hi T.,
I have an inhome daycare and a lot of the kids I have watched in the past have gone to Heritage right before they went to school to "get them ready". I've heard great things about them. There is usually a waiting list so if your thinking about doing it...get on the list now! Good luck! A.
