Need plus Size Nursing Tops in Dallas
Hi, i'm a size 22-26 (depending on the cut of the clothes) and i can't find nursing tops in Dallas. Its hard enough finding a nursing bra b/c i've got a larger band (about 42-44) but smaller cup (is there a rule or something that larger around means bigger cup???) but i really can't find plus size tops for nursing. does anyone know a shop in dallas with these? i dn't like tight clothing, for one thing so i'm leary of buying tops online in case they run small. Thanks!!!

There is a woman on the internet that makes custom plus size clothing and its very very affordable! She has her own designs and does anything custom you want ....I have bought a few things from her and have been happy. She has a yahoo group called Curvy Chic Boutique. If you cant find it then let me know

Try the Maddox shop in Casa Linda Plaza in east Dallas. You can google them. They have just about everything that has to do with bras and lingerie. Good Luck!

For bras go to the Maddox shop in Casa Linda plaza in Garland (www.maddoxshop.com). They do custom bra fittings & can do what ever you need. They are a little more expensive but SO worth it for a good bra.

I have never been a fan of nursing tops.I find them hot expensive and cumbersome! So....now nursing baby #5 I use looser fitting t-shirts an blouses and wear a bella band type thing(Im to cheap to buy an "actual" bella!) You just need a length of stretchy/elastic like or even swimsui material to make a band you wear under your shirt so when you lit the side to nurse, there is no flashing of tummy skin!
You might also try blouses w pockets over the boob area and cut the bottom 3 sides of the pcket to make a flap and secure with a little velcro.
Just some tips!

I never used nursing tops or nursing bras - they were too cumbersome to work with. I bought tank tops to wear under whatever shirt or blouse I was wearing so that I wouldn't flash the world with my beautiful rolls. And I bought the stretchy bras from Lane Bryant because I could just pull it down over my breast without having to unlatch and rehook anything. Worked well for me and was alot cheaper - and I could wear all the items even after I stopped nursing. Good luck!
