Need Original Ideas on B-day Parties in McKinney, Allen, Frisco,Plano

I am looking into where to have my daughter's 4th b-day party and I am out of ideas. Alot of her friends have done the indoor bounce type places, so I really want to try something different and maybe a bit less expensive. I am not really into Chuck E cheese or McDonalds really, unless somebody had a really great party at one in particular. Any ideas for me? I head that USA baby in Frisco has some party rooms, has anyone tried them? I really just want to avoid having 15 kids in my house if I can help it, and the weather is so sketchy at this time of year to try something outside.

Thanks for any tips you may have!

What can I do next?

We attended a GREAT B=Day party last weekend at Gattitown in Frisco. The pizza buffet was awesome and the kids had a great time in the arcade. They also had their own private party room. It was great!

I actually just posted on another link about a great new concept in Birthday Parties. Kids decorate their own cakes and they come to you. Take a look at the photos on Facebook, search Scribble Cakes or they have a website www.scribblecakes.com

Hopefully someone will find the post useful.

We had my daughters 4th birthday at ASI Gymnastics in Allen (central and exchange). My daughter takes gymnastics there, but at the time she did not. All the kids had a great time, and they have about 10-15 trampolines in the floor, so all the kids can jump at the same time. They have a party room, did obstacle course, played games, and had loads of fun.

You can check out their web site at www.asigymnastics.com

We just had my 4 year old boys party at the Little Gym in McKinney (I know they also have a location in Plano). It was wonderful. We just showed up and they had 2 party hostess that took the kids through all sorts of activities. We were there an 1 1/2 hours. The kids played and then we did cake in the party room. We did not open gifts there. $200

Another option I looked at is the store Cute as a Button at Coit and 121. It is a resell shop that has a play area in the back. The play area is adorable - it looks like a small town with dress up stuff for each house. I think a little girl would love this place. I believe it was $175. This place is just free play - no party hostess. Then you also have the party room for cake. It was adorable.

Good luck!

I know that Peek a Boutique on McDermott does tea parties. I've never been to one, nor had one (I have boys), but I've seen them set up for one and it looked really cute. Interaction Entertainment also does tea parties.

I've also considered Toys R Us in Frisco, they do parties. The price includes everything but the gift bags (which they will furnish too) They have several themes to choose from.

Peek a Boutique does great parties. They have a tea room, dressing room, loads of costumes, and they do all the work, even the invitations.

Hey J.,

We recently discovered a great place for children's parties right off 75 and Parker. It's called Fairview Farms, it's right behind Joe's Crab Shack. Have you seen the red barns right there off the highway? Well, if you go back there, there is a super cute party area with a petting zoo that you can rent out for a child's birthday. It's got a real cute country feel with the wooden floors and farm decor with picnic tables and decorations.

Check out their website: http://www.fairview-farms.com/parties.htm

I haven't checked into pricing yet, but it seems like a much better option than Chuck E Cheese or MacDonald's. :D

Good Luck,
A.

I also had my 4 yo daughter's b-day at ASI and everyone (parents and kids) loved it. It is about the same price as any facility, but it is so clean, new, etc. and something that was really nice is that there is plenty of room for not only the kids to spread out and have fun, but there are plenty of seats for all of the parents. I didn't have to do a thing! The girls helping with the party even helped unload the car when we arrived and loaded up after the party. We didn't serve food, b/c our party was at 2:00 (just some cake and some snacks and drinks), but they allow you to bring in anything you want. I highly recommend it!

I know you said nothing at your house if you could help it BUT something we did for our twin girls' birthday was we hired a petting zoo and pony! It was only $175 and they set up an awesome round pen with bunnies, baby goats and sheep, chickens, and brought food to feed them. They also brought a Shetland Pony with a Texas flag blanket and another worker (the owners son who was maybe 12/13) led the girls around the backyard. It took up 1 1/2 hours of our 2 hour party AND they cleaned up (animal poop too - you never knew they were there) and we then brought the girls in, washed hands and had cupcakes on a big mat in the living room, then did gifts. For part favors I had bought pink bandanas (we had a cowgirl party and only invited girls) and put knickknacks like Strawberry Shortcake sunglasses (they were maybe $1.50 for three at Wal-Mart), stickers, an eraser, stuff like that AND they got to keep the bandana which was very popular :)

Hope this helps!
