I am currently searching for a double tandem stroller and need opinions! My daughter will be 28 months when my youngest daughter will be born at the end of this year. I have a Graco Snugride and a Baby Trend infant seat. So I need to make sure that the stroller will accomadate either of these and have room for my 2 year old as well. I looked online and we like the Jeep Wagoneer XT, but have not seen one in stores. I see plenty of strollers that look like they will work, but I want to be sure. Any advise, opinions and buyer beware stories would be helpful. I see on some product reviews that some are hard to steer with the toddler up front. I also see some that have a standing platform and I would prefer to have both kiddos strapped in!

Thanks for your help!

So What Happened?

I ended up getting the Jeep double stroller which I loved, but it was a tank to handle. I have the short base mini van so it only fit in the back if I scooted the back seat all the way up. My 8 yr old had no leg room. So I then got the Baby Trend Sit N Stand Plus. I LOVE IT!! It has the tandem two seater, but it can also turn into the sit/stand option in the back. Its also more compact so I dont have to push up the backseat anymore. And I have one handed it in the grocery store!! Perfect for anyone who cant decide if they want the typical 2 seater or the sit/stand one. Oh and it works with most car seats.

I have two children a 2 year old and 6 1/2 month old. I looked at possibly every double stroller out there. I finally decided to purchase a side by side which I am so thankful that I did I love it. It is the Combi Savvy LX (I think). It is the one with a cup holders and I purchased it online at elitecarseats.com for $300.00. I thought about getting a tandem, but after reading a ton of review and testing one out in the store they were just two heavy. I needed something that I could get in and out the car with little effort. This stroller tri-folds which is huge space saver in the car. I thought I would need a stroller that the carseat attached to, but when my son was smaller I just used the boot and he rode in it without any problems. It is not a stroller you would take on walks unless you were just using the sidewalks. I have a double jogging/bike trailer called the Joyride by Schwinn that we use for walking. I love them both and would recommend them to anyone. Good luck with your search.

We got the Graco Duo Glider and it has held up well. I wanted the side by side type but I push my children and walk two dogs, at the same time,so it wouldn't work! The Duo Glider has some limitations, you have to take off the trays and the front sun shade always get's stuck. Also, make sure whatever you are going to buy will fit in your vehicle!!! With the weight of the car seat my infant and now 3 year old were about the same weight so we tried both children/car seat in both positions and finally settled as to who rode in front and back based more on their personalities. I hope this helps.

Check out a BOB stroller....they are excellent! Jogging stroller with a swivel front wheel that manuevers better than my old single stroller. You can see them at www.bobtrailers.com, and they will tell you where you can buy one. A little pricey but well worth it!!!
