Need New Latch for Dishwasher - Who to Call
Bought the Maytag Dishwasher through Sears almost 6 years ago. I know that Sears isn't necessarily the cheapest or the fastest to come out. Does anyone have any suggestions on a dishwasher repair service that is reasonable priced for service and parts? I live in Arlington Heights.
The latch gets stuck and while not critical this is just a pain in the neck that I'd like to take care of.
Thanks in advance!

Michelle,
I know for me when times were tough, I used to get the make and model number from my appliance and look for that part on the computer, sometimes you can find what you need. I then would go to the mfr site or an online tutorial, and get the repair instructions. It feels like a challenge and it feels real good to save money and proud to do it yourself.
Good luck, and don't become addicted to doing it yourself!!

Call Maytag, your warranty is probably over by now, tell them the situation and that you'de be willing to take out an extended warranty with them, price appropriate, if they fix the latch. They want your business.

I'm not sure if this is something you may be able to fix yourself, but we have had luck in the past with getting small appliance parts and repair instructions at repairclinic.com.
