Need Maternity Clothes

I am new to KS and just found out I am expecting my 4th child. My daughter will be one in January and we were not planning on having any more children (certainly not this soon). When we moved, I gave everything away. Should have known, right? =) Well, if this time is like the rest, I will be needing maternity clothes pretty soon. I tend to show pretty early. Is there any consignment shop or cheap place to pick up some things around the Olathe/Overland Park area?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks for all your suggestions. I did find the Motherhood outlet and was able to pick up two pair of pants and a shirt for about $4.50 (total). I will definitely be checking out the other suggestions after the holidays. The next 6 months will surely be going quickly.

I went on Ebay! They have lots of BRAND NEW stuff for very cheap! I bought tons of Gap & Old Navy clothes there! Jeans were like $20 and tops were about $10-12...... I couldn't believe all the bargains I found! Also, right now, www.OldNavy.com is having a great sale on their maternity stuff...... capris for $14.99, skirts for $10 and matte jersey gauchos for $6.99!!! Free shipping online too!! Great for Spring! Good luck! :o)

Hi N.,
Have you tried Maternity & More? It's a maternity consignment shop in Overland Park. The gal actually runs the store from her home, and she prefers if you call to make an "appointment" so she can be sure she's home. I bought several items from her when I was pregnant. It's all Motherhood, Mimi, Old Navy, Gap, Pea & A Pod, etc., good prices and good quality clothing. I don't have the number off hand, but I know it's in the phone book. I haven't bought maternity clothes for a while, but I assume she's still in business. Good luck to you with number four!

I am not sure what size you are looking for but I have a handful of outfits I have posted on Craigslist.com- You are able to go to the website under "Kansas", "Kansas City" & then "Baby+Kids" and type in Maternity to view all the local listings & find your size. Also you will find mine as well. Mine are all size Sm & Med. If you are interested I am selling the lot for $30.

Good luck & Congrats!!! K.

First of all, welcome to KC, and congrats on your pregnancy! I too am pregnant, 26 and already have a 2 year old son. I've found that shopping the clearance racks at Target is a STEAL, and there is also a consignment shop by the Jazzercise on the SW corner of 135th and Murlen in Olathe. I'm sorry, I can't remember the name of it! There is also a Motherhood Maternity Outlet store in The Great Mall of the Great Plains off of I-35 and 151st Street in Olathe. They have both clearance/discounted items and brand new clothes. I hope this helps! Have a happy and healthy pregnancy! If you need a friend, don't hesitate to email me! I'd be happy to talk!

Hi there! There are two great places that I know of. The first place is craigslist.com where you can post an ad for cheap maternity clothes. It is free to post anything on there. The second place is freecycle.org. This is a place to post your unwanteds or you can post an ad saying that you want maternity clothes. Everything on there is free. It is a great place.

There are two Once Upon A Child stores. One at Shawnee Mission Parkway & Quivera and another at 95th & Antioch. I had good luck on eBay and craigslist, too. Target has maternity stuff on their clearance racks. There is a Goodwill at Shawnee Mission Parkway & Nieman and Maj-R Thrift at 47th St & Mission - I have found nice maternity wear at both. There is Pete & Repeat at 75th & Stateline...hmmmm, if I think of others, I'll come back!

I just sold my maternity clothes to a consigment shop called "About Nine Months." Their website is www.aboutninemonths.com. They travel to KC approximately once per month. Her next sale is this month. Check out the website for details. Good luck.
