I got my cat spayed through www.texasforthem.org. TCAP's Denton program works with area animal shelters and countless animal welfare groups. TCAP also co-hosts satellite programs in Azle, Cleburne, RIchland Hills, Haltom City, Hillsboro and Marble Falls.

If you adopted it from Animal Control you should first get it checked for FELV or other diseases. They don't run tests there, and I have adopted there, gotten my cat spayed, only to find out after the $$$ was spent, that it had FELV and it was going to die (and did at 6 months). Very sad.

I know you only have 15 days, but try to get the tests done right away.

Denton has a spay & neuter clinic that's cheap, they're not great, but they're okay.
