Need Legal Help with Post Divorce Modification

I have been divorced for 1.5 years now, and am trying to find an attorney to help me with a post divorce modification. At the time of the divorce, I was a stay at home mom who couldn't afford an attorney, so I basically signed my life away, and we do 50/50 custody. I get a small amount of “spousal support”, and no child support.
During this time I have watched my children’s grades drop drastically (their father doesn't make sure they do their homework, so in turn I spend countless hours on this so they don't fail). They also come home telling me their father tells them not to come home and tell me about things that happen at his place so they are scared to tell me things, he doesn't give one of my son's his asthma medication, (I have ended up having to set alarms on my sons cell so he knows when to take meds), matter of fact he doesn’t give them meds when they are sick, I have to send text messages and remind him!
I have countless text message correspondence between myself and my ex, some of which are NOT SO NICE, and he breaks just about every rule in the divorce decree!!!...
I have been told I can’t use text messages in court, but the text messages prove so much of what’s going on with my ex. I was also informed that it would be a hard case because my ex is ‘not a criminal” and doesn’t “abuse” my children. My children are terrified of him, he is medically neglecting them and I’m being told there’s nothing I can do about this??….
Can someone please help me? I can’t sit and wait for one of my children to become injured because their father is careless.
Unfortunately I don’t make a lot of money, and don’t know what else to do….
Can someone offer information or the name of an affordable, but good attorney? My ex and his attorney are snakes!

God Bless you and wish you luck. I just do not have the answers as my ex got more then his share too. I had a home I made $115k profit before we got married and when spit the judge just talked aweful to me why he supported me all those years. The real fact is I worked harder in the home then at any job but that was not taken as a reason to give me my sole money up front to all you gals just remember that you have to have a complete paper chase of funds you use into a new marriage. If not you will only get half of what you have now and nothing what you had before. G. W

I have an attorney in Euless that I used. She is fair and will get the job done. She does not sugar coat anything and gives you the "raw" facts... you might want to look her up.. her name is Kathrine Allen, her ## is817571300. The receptionist name is Brenda (she has been there over 3 years). Kathrine is a Christian Woman and is red headed woman and just simply doesnt hold anything back. She wont tell you what you want to hear, she will tell you what she can and cant do. If she cant help you, she should be able to tell you who can.
