Need Ideas on Great PT Jobs!!!!!
Hi moms,
I am rturning to work in 2 short weeks after a 5 month maternity leave . I am not sure how well it is going to go. Basically I have been entertaining the idea of staying home with the kids during the day, and trying to find a part time job in the evenings after my husband gets home from work. Thinking about working 15-20 hours a week for a few hours in the evenings. Wanted some ideas from other Moms what jobs you may have found that fits this description, and how much I can expect to earn??? Other thoughts and ideas on this type of work/family scenario?? Thanks!

I am a mom of three and found a great job at Quinnipiac University Polling Institute. It pays $9.50/hour and the hours are mon-fri 5:30-9:30, Sat. 10-2, Sun. 5-9. You pick the nights/weekends you want to work.
It has been a great part time job for me because I'm home during the day with kids and when my husband gets home....I get to have my own time!!
Here is the web site if you like....www.quinnpiac.edu and folling links to "polling"
Good luck and I hope this was helpful!

I have worked several part time jobs since becoming a mother...
WalMart (not too great for part time because with kids you want more control over your schedule)...
daycare (real tough because you almost have to give the kids you are watching more attention than your own kids)...
eldercare (I have worked 4 nights a week overnight taking care of an elderly couple...I could sleep there, but it was still hard).
Party plans like Tupperware, Creative Memories, Partylite...in today's economy I found it very difficult to make any money with these businesses. People just aren't buying extras right now and I felt like I was practically just asking my friends for money...
So, when my friend introduced me to a home based business that I can do from home, not sell anything, not have an inventory, not have to put out some large investment, not have to worry about losing anything, I was all ears. I have been very grateful that I heard about it and ran with it. My friend actually made $52,000 her first year last year, and I'm not trying to say you'll make that much money, but you could definitely add an extra $1,000 or $2,000 to your monthly budget if you are able to work 10-15 hours a week, and you might end up being someone who does make more.
It's definitely worth looking into, along with all of your other options. I like being able to work around my kids' schedules and give myself a raise whenever I have more time to work. My husband likes that my goal is to replace his income so that he can be freed up to do what he loves. I'd love to tell you more about it. Give me a call or send me an email and I will get in touch with you.
I hope to talk to you soon.

Hey N.
I recently started working from home myself in addition to my full time job. This is the type of thing that you can work as much as you want and work around your family's schedule.
This is a great company. Been in business for 23 years. We are a team and work very closely together.
