Need Ideas for Husband's 30Th Birthday
I'd like to plan something simple for just my husband & me to celebrate his 30th birthday in 2 weeks. I do already have reservations at a nice place in town but would like to do something else to make it really special. We won't have much time without my son before dinner, but was thinking we could do something before our reservation. Does anyone have any ideas? Or any ideas in general to make the day special for him?

I picked my husband up in a limo for his 30th. His boss was in on it. The limo driver took him a rose and told him it was time to go. He loved it! We went to the nice restaurant and were home by our daughter's bedtime, but had a nice evening together.

For my husband's 30th birthday, I made a mini scrapbook of the top 30 memories together. I just put a picture and a typed memory about the event on each page. He loved it! I hope that is helpful.

Send him flowers or balloons at work; decorate his car while he is at work so he sees it at lunch time or going-home time (get a co-worker in on the secret and ask him/her to photograph DH's reaction!!). Call him and sing Happy Birthday--with your baby "singing" too. Leave it on answering machine if he is not there.
We have been known to send people 30 cards for thier 30th b-day; 50 cards for 50th, etc--one per day, leading up to "the" day.
You could send a bunch of different e-cards (cheaper than paper ones through the mail).
I don't know where you are--could you go for a walk in a nice park, along a river, etc before dinner? Just a thought.
Good luck and have fun

For my husband's 30th, I had all his friends and family fill out a survey about my husband. Questions like: "What was DH like when he was little?" "Favorite memories of DH?" "What advice to you have for DH as he turns 30?" Then I edited them all into a scrapbook with pictures of his friends and family. He loved it.

My husband enjoys going to miniature golf, or the bowling alley, or sometimes even a movie. We've also gone to a bar in the afternoon to play a couple games of pool before dinner.(there aren't that many people there that early)
