Need Ideas for 5 Yo's Bday Party
Hi everyone,
Does anyone have a creative idea for a 5 yr old boy's birthday party besides Chuck E. Cheese or McDonald's? I'd like to have the party out somewhere rather than at the house but I can't think of any places reasonably priced besides these two and quite frankly I'm tired of going to these places! lol :)
Yes, I've heard of Let's Jump over off 377, but their prices aren't going to fit in mu budget.
Thanks for the ideas!

You could do it at a park, the zoo or an amenity center. More indoor ideas include having a scavenger hunt at the mall. Or go to the lunar golf inside Grapevine Mills mall, they weren't very expensive.

I drove by a place called Funtastic the other day on Basswood west of 377. It's kinda like Chuck E Cheese, but smaller and brand new. But, I don't have a phone number.
My son loves Texas Tumblers on 377 and Western Center

or Let's Jump 377 between 1709 and N. Tarrant Pkwy. ###-###-####
Hope that helps - A.

Hey R., also check out this site www.brightideas.com. They also have a free newsletter. It is by the makers of M&M's and there are TONS of ideas for parties and more!
If you end up doing the party at home an EXCELLENT and inexpensive place to turn to for themed party ideas is Orientaltrading.com. They also send out catalogs. They have EVERYTHING you can think of right down to already put together gift bags or you can make your own of course. One theme that they have that is obviously big right now is a pirate themed party. Maybe you could even have it at a long john silvers or something. good luck and have fun!

I just moved here from NC, so I don't know if these ideas will work here, but they were great there, and very affordable. First there is Chick-fil-a. They will let you have a party there, all you have to do is call and let them know the time and date. They will provide balloons, you can bring in an outside cake, buy each kid a 4 piece kids meal, less than #3 each, trade in the "prize" for ice cream and they have cake and ice cream, and the play area is the entertainment.
Second, a big one that I did for one of my daughter's birthdays was the fire station. It cost $10 an hour, got it for 2 hours, brought in cake and some snacks and balloons. The firemen give the kids a tour of the station, where they work, eat, sleep and let them get up in the seat of the fire truck, plus give out crayons and books.
Hope these help!

Well we have been giving birthday parties for our sons out at Chisholm Park, its free and all you have to do is take whatever u want out there and just find a spot to party at. We just take some chairs, some snacks and some other party favor things (cake too) and just make a day of it. I have 3 boys and this is perfect for my boys in the summer or when the weather isnt so hot. They love it too, they play at the playground, they run around and have a great time and its all outside and FREE. that is the best price around. Hope this works out for you.

My kids LOVE Jumping Party. We've never done the parties there but it seems reasonable. Just make sure you bring LOTS of water because the kids get pretty hot and worked up from all the action and there is no water fountain.

Does Keller have community pools, I know in Hurst it cost $1.00 to get if you live in the city. That would be relaxing and fun. Ours also rents the pivilions for 25.00 in advance.
