Need Ideas for 10 Year Anniversary...

I need some good ideas. My 10th anniversary is coming up in June and I need help. My husband and I are just starting the process to adopt baby #2 and will be spending A LOT of money this year on adoption expenses. However, I would still like to do something special. I am considering a night or two out of town but just can't think of where, or what to do. We have done a 5 star resort, Tahoe, cruise, and the Napa Valley Wine Train in the past. I just can't seem to come up with something this year. Thanks so much for your help....I need some creativity.

What can I do next?

Why not try Monterey or Carmel. It's close to home but yet still far enough and romantic enough that you feel away from home. Good Luck and Happy Anniversary.

Hi M.,

How about making a photo album or memory book of the Top 10 reasons I love you or the last 10 years vs the next 10 years. Creative Memories has a lot of different ways to create an album like this and it is not as expensive as going away. You could make a candlelight dinner and present it to him or you could make reservations at his favorite restaurant and give it to him there. Congratulations!

Congrats for the 10yr and adopting, I think you and your husband are amazing for adopting! I was thinking something along highway 1, how about Mendocino, that would be beautiful and not too much~ Good luck and Congrats again~

On our 10 year anniv we decided to go on a cruise! We picked a 10 day trip to Mexico, but you can go on one of the 3 day deals. It was actually wonderful. The prices are fantastic and you never have to leave the ship if you don't want to. Unpack, relax and enjoy. The price includes all your food, so you may really save over a hotel trip. Hope you have a wonderful 10!

How about the Claremont Hotel and Spa in Oakland? You can both have a couples massage. It's always nice to be pampered!

Hi M.,

Congratulations on your 10 years! I think that Napa is absolutely beautiful and maybe you could find a nice bed and breakfast for the two of you to stay. Also, if you like the beach-- go to Bodega Bay and stay there- that can be super romantic-- walk on the beach, dinner etc. You don't have to go too far to celebrate. Good luck!

My husband and I love two places: The Bernardus Lodge in Carmel and The Carneros Inn (Plumpjack property) in Napa. The Bernardus has a great spa, golfing close by, one of the best restaurants and GREAT room service. The rooms are nice (we stay in the honeymoon suite when we go) and the grounds have their own winery, pool, spa...need I say more? LOL. The Carneros Inn has great rooms (warm tiled floors and the best linens and soaps), a nice spa, good restaurant but my favorite thing is the pool area on a hot sunny day. Lay on a lounge chair next to the pool, over looking the vineyards and then two horses run by...the pool is awesome and they serve you at you lounge chair. Okay...sounds like I need to go too! LOL.
Congrats!

How about Yosemite? It's stunningly beautiful, and you can stay at the Wawona, which is not expensive and is old and beautiful, or you can go all out and stay at the Ahwahnee. My parents recently went there for their 35th anniversary and had a wonderful time! Also in the Oakhurst area (just outside Yosemite) is a fantastic restaurant (also a hotel and spa), Erna's Elderberry House. It's Michelin-rated and soooo romantic and wonderful.

Congratulations on your anniversary!! Have fun!
