Need Homemade Knee Pads for Cleaning Floors???

When my son was little we used wrist bands on his knees when he started croawling. This should work for you too. maybe even use old socks but off at heel and double over.

I think you should cut of some old socks from the bottom so you can slide your foot right through and all the way up to the knee area. (I see Diane mentioned this, too.) You may have to double or triple up on each leg. So hopefully you have some old socks lying around.

Sorry, I know you said you can't buy them but, my husband did buy a pair of soft, hockey knee pads years ago, either at a sporting goods store or store department. He has a hard time if he has to fix something and get on his knees. They have held up for years. I'm certain you can pick something up for $10 - $20. Or you can find a "gardener's knee cushion pad" which will cost around $10. One of these may be worth the investment in the long run. Good luck.
