Need Help Remembering Book Title

This probably sounds strange, but I am getting desperate! When I was a child I remember having two books that I loved. I would like to try to find them for my daughter but I can't remember the names. Both are children's books. One is about a snake (I think his name is Sheldon) that wants to make pancakes but he doesn't have the recipe so him and his friends try to make them but they use so much stuff that they end up with batter all over the house.

I don't remember the second one quite as well, I think it is about a boy that goes on an adventure at night with an alligator and in the end the alligator gives the boy a necklace that has one of his teeth on it.

If anyone can help with these book titles I would greatly appreciate it, I have searched many times online but have not been able to come up with anything.

Sheldon has more than enough pancakes for his own lunch but not enough for his friends, so they proceed to make more.

The second one I remember something about it, but I can't remember the title or specifically how it went.

I don't recognize either book but did a search- was it Zack's alligator? Also, my husband says to check with the Iowa Reading Association or any story teller's association- we'd bump into reps from these associations in college and they were very knowledgeable.

the book with the snake is called SHELDONS LUNCH. im sorry i dont know the other book.

I tried doing an internet search on the 2nd book for you, but I'm not sure what the title would be. If you call a local book store they may be able to help you. Sorry I couldn't help more.
