Need Help Picking Out a Stroller
Our baby girl is 6 months old and we are wondering what stroller to get her. She is growing very fast, in the 99% percentile for height. I would like a light weight stroller, that is good for walking around and has some storage to it to hold small items. I also would like a larger sunshade on it to keep out the sun and keep her dry if we get caught in the rain. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

So What Happened?™
Thanks Ladies, we are going to look at the BOB and the Baby Jogger , as my hubby wants a stroller that he can run with when she is old enough. I appreciate all the feedback.

Hi,
I love my peg perego P3, it reclines flat for the infant stage,(or the sleeping toddler), the footrest adjusts all the way up as well.It is lightweight, has a complete sunshade, that closes up to the snacktray, stearing is great with the swivel wheels, it has the full motion seatbelt and the handles adjust up for Daddy or tall Mommy ! It is a bit pricey, if bought new, but I got mine 2 years old for 70$ on Craigslist and oh did I mention, it is quite stylish(I have the black and green one).good luck

Macs have a crappy sunshade. If you really want sun protection and a great ride go with a Baby Jogger City Mini. That stroller rocks!
Lightweight - 17lbs
Huge Sun Canopy - biggest on the market
Decent sized basket - plus storage on the back of the seats
Full Recline
The easiest fold on any stroller!
Plus, they are usually cheaper than Macs!
I have a 3.5 year old and she loves that stroller.
I also have an Inglesina Trip and while it;s a good stroller the sun canopy on the Mini and easy fold can't be beat.

For a shade, I highly recommend the Kiddopotmus Stroller Shade. It is a large soft UV shade that attaches to any stroller with velcro. It can almost totally cover a stroller and works on my jogger and my umbrella stroller. People stop me all the time to tell me how great it is. Here is the link:

I had a Peg Pergo that I used for a long time with my first daughter - infant and older. But for my second daughter I stopped using it awhile ago and jump between an umbrella and a jogger. I have a Macleren umbrella stroller that has been great through two kids. And around 8 months you really start needing the umbrella. The storage is okay, but I have a great handle bafg where I can store light items. I don't remember my jogger but I think it was a Schwinn or a Schinn knockoff for under $150.

We have a Valco Baby Buggster and LOVE it. The reclining seat is sort of egg-shaped, so it's a lot wider than other strollers and more comfy for the child. It's a full-size stroller that weighs about 15 pounds and folds up like an umbrella stroller. So it's awesome for small cars. It has a pretty good sized canopy and comes standard with a zip-on sun/bug screen, a rain bonnet, and a snow boot. The basket underneath is pretty decent; I have a very large purse that I use as my diaper bag and I can fit it under there even with the rain bonnet stowed away. There are no cup holders, so I bought the JL Childress Cups 'N Cargo Stroller Organizer to hang off the handles. The only possible negative with this stroller is that it is not for tall people. I'm 5'3" and my husband is 5'10" and neither of us kicks the back when we walk.
They don't make this model anymore. I found my Buggster on Craig's List. Craig's List is the best way to buy a stroller if you have some time before you need to buy. Go out to the stores to "test drive" a bunch, then look for your favorite on Craig's List to save money!

Most are good. But they don't suggest you get an umbrella stroller.

Hi
I have a Peg Perego Aria , I love it , it's so light and easy to push , the basket underneath is a decent size and it reclines. The sunshade isn't the biggest but I have a protect a bub that I bought on buybuybaby.com that attaches to the sunshade and keeps the sun off my daughter completely.

Get a Maclaren umbrella stoller. They are great! I have two. They are sturdy have storage underneath and you can get a pad, shade & rain cover for them. I've had mine for 8years and they are still great. Through multiple airplane trips, amusement parks,D.C. (30+) and everyday use of walks, zoo, etc. and they are still in great shape! Worth every penny. I even think the newer one have a recline to them.

As a gift, before our child was born, we received Jeep Urban Terrain stroller - it's a 3-wheeled stroller (looks like a jogger stroller, but really isn't one "officially") - it has served us VERY well - our son is now 3 yrs. old & we are still using it! It has GREAT storage space, a shade that pulls up to cover almost completely as well as side pockets & one-hand closure. It isn't a compact stroller though - but it can fit easily into a trunk. I believe they cost around $150-$180 (?)...good luck with whatever you choose!

I've had TONS of strollers through the years and I'm extremely happy with my peg perego pliko. I can put either my 10month old or my 3yo and push it one handed with no problems or even put the baby in it and have the 3 yo stand on the back things. It folds up super easy and stands up to being dragged onto a city bus in a jif when you get a not so polite driver. And it's super light also for when I'm well dragging it onto the bus.
