Need Help for Our Third Daughters Name!

Updated on December 07, 2010

We already have Aspen and Berkeley and have been leaning towards staying with the city theme. The problem is we also love how our daughters names are different and dont want a Paris or Brooklyn or something popular or trendy like that. Any ideas??

What can I do next?

It might be cute to do a C name since you've got an A name & a B name..

My cousins liked unsual names too so they looked towards the end of the alphabet & came up with a Z for their first child, Y for their 2nd, then when looking for their 3d they realized they kinda had a pattern going & found an x name they loved, then stuck with the pattern & named their next 2 kids with a W & V. The oldest just had a baby & stuck with the family pattern naming her son with a U. I think it's a super cute idea! Except you could do the begining of the alphabet. :)

Here's a few of my name suggestions, I list a bunch of C names & other ones too, some aren't citys, some are states or countys.. but they still go with the theme..

Carson, Catalina Chicago, Chandler, Cambridge, Cleveland, (Love that name) Capriquet, Colombia/Columbia, Camden,Campbell (Or I like to spell it Cambell w/o the P,) Charlotte, Cheyenne, Cayenne, Cordova, Callahan, Cambria, Carmel, Clayton, Coloma, Colton, Colusa, Creston, Calera, Clio, Chelsea, Covina, Colusa, Castella, Courtland, or you could spell it courtlynn or whatever.. Callahan, Copeland, love love that name, it's a city in Ireland that I fell in love with when I went there, :) Camilla, Cansas, Canada, Caroline or Carolina

Augusta, Kenya, Britan, Ireland, Vienna, Dakota, Virgina, London, Aurora, Avalon, Boston, Sahara ( I like it with a z) Sienna, Phoenix, Sofia, Ireland, America, (although america ferarah is a real popular actress, but otherwise i've only heard a baby with that name once) Vicotoria, Sydney, Isreal (I've heard it pronounced Is ray ale.. Denver, Portland, Austin ( kinda a boy name but I love girls names like Jordyn & Kodi & other boys made into girls names. :) Montana, Acadia, Bristol, Geneva, Asia, Samara, India, Geneva
I hae tons but I'll spare you & end here. :)
Hope you find the perfect name & congrats!! :)

HI!

I see that you got a lot of suggestions for the ever so popular Savannah..How about a different take on it and using Havana. I think it's beautiful and it has an exotic feel to it. Good luck!

I love Charlotte. There is Dakota, although it's not a city. The is Campbell (I think in CA), which I don't love, and the very popular Savannah, which I'm sure you won't do since it's so popular. My choice is Charlotte, and as someone said - you have an A and a B, so here is your C!

Victoria (I love Victoria, British Columbia) and if we had another daughter have thought of this name a lot. My husband is also Canadian so it has significant meaning for us.

Georgia, Charlotte, Savannah, Sydney and Virginia would also be good options.

There are lots of suggestions. Let us know what you decide. Congrats!

the southern states have elegant options, northern states have interesting mixes of culture from when we settled. Interesting idea to do that, im wondering if the first two names held other signifigance, like where they were concieved, lol

Someone mentioned Sicily, which is beautiful, and other european places but I think you shoud stick with American cities/states, I vote for Virginia and Georgia but also Carolina is gorgeous and very elegant. Since naming after towns can be tacky it's good to keep it simple. Good luck!!

You got a lot of great suggestions just make sure that the name of the city or state not only sounds pretty but is actually a nice place to live. I hear some kids named Trenton or Camden and I know they have never been there. Both are dangerous and considered some of the worst cities in NJ.
