Today I took the kids to the swimming pool. Several of the moms there had similar swimsuits that were very flattering. They appeared to be either 1 piece suits or tankinis with a very long top. Some had kindof a shirred/gathered look. I think this kind of suit would work well for me to help conceal my little belly pooch. I found a similar suit on Victorias Secret . com but it is $125, more than I would want to spend. I HATE shopping, so if anyone knows where I might find a suit similar to this, could you let me know? That way I just drive to one place and try it on instead of going from store to store. I have already scoured the internet and had no luck. You ladies are great! Well, I ended up shelling out the money for the Victorias Secret suit, and it is super cute. I did try on the ones at Target but they were all too short in the waist, which is weird since I am short-waisted. I am glad to have some new sites to check out for next year though.

What I like about Land's End is that you can shop by fit solution. If you don't like this one, they have so much to choose from- you're bound to find something you like.

I got mine at Landsend.com and it is the 'beach living dot scoop tankini', it sounds similar to what you describe and is flattering to hide the belly or help with larger bust. Very cute and can be returned to Sears if you get the wrong size so you don't have to pay s/h again. it had underwire as well so really shapes nicely. I think mine was $70 or $80 and you can just buy plain bottoms somewhere if you want to save money....
also, I usually just ask the mom where they got their bathing suit if I like it.

Most one pieces will be above $60 so hopefully you can find it for a good price. You can try googling twist-top bandeau one piece swimsuit. That is the style of the suit. Good luck :)
Lands End Inlet. Its their outlet store. I got 2 swimsuits, tankinis, with shirred bellys and only spent 34.00 (for all 4 pieces!) I love Land's End Inlet for swimsuits, they are great and last forever!
Lands End! They have great styles. One piece and Tankini. The material they use to make their suits helps to hold any extra weight around the tummy in. :)
one thing i found on eBay, was the one piece (the kind that is like a bikini but with a piece down the center) and it was pink white or black.. i got the pink one, and it cost SEVEN BUCKS after shipping! Literally, NEW SUIT, 7$ , check it out! item # 110546835684 .. www.ebay.com
I just bought 2 like that at Macy's yesterday. One is a Reebok and it was on sale for $35. The other is fancier and a Calvin Klein, it was on sale for $50.
look at oldnavy.com they are true to size and have several differnt style tops and bottoms i prefer the tankini and the boy short bottoms because they cover me up and i hate one pieces and the boy shorts fit great and dont ride up at all

That is definitely available at Lands end. I have one that shirs up and then you canlet it down to be a skirt. Very cute.
Also-Athleta suits are AMAZING! I just started wearing them this summer and thier fit is much better than LE I think. They have the shirred suits as well but you can get it in bra size-which is my problem with LE...if you have a chest they do not do you well. Here is one of my faves. I have the same baby "pooch"! I just got a black 1 piece from Old Navy last week. I think it was on sale for $15. Very tummy slimming but it's pretty V necked w/ a halter strap around back of neck.. Didn't think I'd like the way my boobs looked, but not so bad on :) Pleasantly surprised.. Black hides a lot :)
