I just found out, through a third party, that my hair stylist will be out of town the weekend of my wedding! Really no fault of hers, just failure of planning on my part. I'm looking for someone trusted in the Gastonia area.
Any suggestions would be welcome!

Tell her the truth, and ask if there is someone else in her salon that can step in for her. Most salon owners would not want to risk losing a customer. I'm sure they will work a $ deal with you. You can also have them work together on you to make sure you like what the new stylist will do.

(And don't worry so much about the wedding day. Yes, every bride worries, but it's about the rest of your life with your Mr. Wonderful that really matters. Signed happily married for 15 yrs)

I would ask your stylist for a referral after you tallk to her about the situation. Usually they know other stylists that they would recommend. Where I live in Wilmington, there are a lot of people who specialize in weddings. There is a lady at my salon who does them and travels. If need be, call Bella Salon and ask for Phyllis. The salon's number is ###-###-####.

I would call your stylist and find out directly from her if she is going to be out of town and then explain the situation and see what and who she would recommend.

Call your stylist and make sure she will really be out of town that weekend. If she is, then ask her for a referral to either someone else at her salon or another salon if she works independently. Most stylists will have a backup that she can refer you to. If you explain the situation to your stylist I'm sure she can find you someone who will do a wonderful job. Depending on her circumstances and why she's planning to be out of town (and what time you'd need her services), she may be willing to alter her plans to accomodate a wedding party (since styling several women usually means several good tips plus her normal rate). In this economy, most people don't turn away business. If she can't or is unwilling to change her plans, at least she can recommend someone else!

Hi, A.

Are you looking for a stylist as in, curl my hair pump it up stylist or someone that knows how to cut hair.

If you are looking for someone to cut your hair that knows what they are doing and knows the latest styles, I can suggest Misty at Great clips in Lake Wylie SC
Most of the stylists there simply cut. Straight cut no flair for style. Misty? She's talented.
Congratulations!

I would first talk directly to your stylist. Second or third hand isn't the kind of information you can rely on. I would ask her if there is anyone she would recommend. Often they know people who may specialize in the style you are looking for. If they do have a referral go check them out and have a trial run to see if you like what they may do.

Good luck and congratulations.
