NEED ENT NAMES IN FF Or NEW HAVEN COUNTY

Looking for the name of an ENT for my 8.5 month old. I need a second opinion to his pediatrician's "his lungs are clear". Since he was born, he purrs and is always very congested. I am tired of her not listening to us about this. I had to bring him to the after hours clinic at the pediatrician's office and the on call md said that it is his upper respiratory or adnoids, nothing to do with his lungs. I want to see a specialist now as his regular pediatrician obviously does not know or care. I will also be looking to change md's at this group.

What can I do next?

I have to second Dr.Pearl/Dr. Coffey. I personally use Dr. Pearl and I just love him. He saved me from having surgery when I was having serious trouble with my sinuses and another doctor just wanted to operate. Good Luck.

I immediately change to non-toxic househould products. Remember you are dressing him and putting him to bed with clothing and linens that have residual chemicals on them. He may be reacting to that.
Here is a presentation for you to watch.

Please let me know if I can be of help.

I would check to see who participates with your health insurance first. They usually have a website that can refer you to some one in the area.

We like Ears Nose and Throat Associates of Waterbury.

They are on Grandview Ave in Waterbury.

I saw Dr Gotay years ago to have my tonsils out. And my son saw Dr. Winicki last July to have his tonsils taken out. I would recommend you see Dr Winicki, in my opinion he is better with kids. He was very patient and took his time to explain everything to us. We had lots of questions, and he really did everything he could to put us at ease.

Good Luck!

I don't have any names of MD's for you, but I just wanted to suggest a possibility to you as well. My son always sounded congested. It got really bad around 5 months or so and my dr wasn't listening. We had other issues too with his weight gain. Anyways, we too brought him to the hospital one day in hopes that someone there might listen and get the ball rolling with further testing. They said upper respiratory too. So I got tired of my ped. and fired him and found a new one. Turns out all of my sons problems (weight gain and stuffiness) were because he had acid reflux. The acid was actually going up and into his nasal passages and stuff. So my suggestion to you is instead of jumping to a specialist first look around for a different ped. I highly recommend mine, but I'm guessing Farmington would be too far for you to travel from the New Haven area. If you are interested though in her name and wouldn't mind the travel for a doctor who will listen to all of your concerns and address them then I'd be happy to give you her name and number.

He is AWESOME...I work at an ambulatory surgical center and he is a doctor here...I have also brought my daughter to him, who was diagnosed by him with laryngomalasia....her pedi, nor any other doctor picked up on it...he also put tubes in her ears 2 years ago and it was the best thing I ever did...I HIGHLY recommend him...great bedside manor and great personality all around...the office staff is wonderful too...His partner is Dr. Pearl who is just as good...I just have more of a personal relationship with Dr. Coffey...so if they tell you that you can only see Dr. Pearl I would not hesitate to see him either. Hope this helps and if you need any more info please feel free to send me an email!!
