Need Easy Crock Pot Dessert

Hi Everyone, I have turned into the crockpot queen. I now have SEVEN of them in different sizes. I'm doing my entire Easter Sunday dinner in crockpots. But I want an "easy" dessert I can do in one too. I've only done it once, last Saturday for my dinner party. It was in there a bit long so had an "over done" taste to it. It was a peach dump cake. The recipe I have is a Turtle cake that you serve with ice cream but you have to put it in a "souffle dish" (what even is that?) inside the crock instead of just putting it in the crock pot itself. So anyone have any tried and true recipes I can try this Sunday? Thanks everyone!

So What Happened?

Yes, I have 4 of the big ones, 1 med one, 1 small and 1 dip size (it came with one of the big ones). I do everything for tgiving in them! I have recipes in a word doc if anyone wants it. It was so easy, everything was in their crocks within 2 hours so I enjoyed the day. AND we had it buffet style, set everything on "warm" and it stayed hot. I hate how everything is dished up and on the table and by the time everyone is seated, its all cold. So yes, this has really worked so now I'm doing Easter with a ham, green beans and mashed potatoes...and dessert! =) Oh, SH, I keep them all in our laundry room that has a wall of shelves and its right next to the kitchen so they are easy to get. Thanks everyone for the replies so far!

how about caramel apple "pie".
apples, sugar, cinnamon, cloves nutmeg, and a bit of cornstarch to thicken.
Mix in graham crackers at the last minute.
Serve parfait style with vanilla ice cream.

can't find my fav recipe, but this one is pretty danged close....

1 box choc cake mix
1 cup choc chips
1 box instant choc pudding
8 oz sour cream (I use fat-free)
1 cup water
4 eggs
3/4 cup veg oil

Blend all cake ingredients well & pour into a well-oiled crockpot.
Cook covered....4 hours on HIGH or 6 hours on LOW.
Be sure to stir every 1/2 hour for the 1st 2 hours, & then every 20 minutes thereafter....folding in the dry edges to the center.

Serve with whipped topping, caramel sauce, &/or ice cream.

***Now for my variations & notes: I have been known to add cinnamon &/or instant coffee. Yumm for both.
*I also have noticed that the LOW setting doesn't always get the job done in 6 hours. I had one batch which took almost 8 hours!
*This cake is also excellent with a cherry pie filling poured over it. I make mine with canned filling & add some Jack to it. Yummm.
*Oh, & the texture of the cake will be spongy....not like a regular baked cake. Very good when served with sauces!

This might be similar to what you made this weekend but I've tried this and love it!!

2 cans of cherry pie filling
1/2 jar of hot fudge sundae sauce
1 chocolate cake mix dry
1 stick of butter

dump in the crockpot in this order - cut the butter in pieces and put on top of the cake. Cook on high for 2 hours. Serve with ice cream. yummy!!!

You can use any combination of fruit pie filling and sundae sauce......you could do apple pie filling and caramel sauce and white cake mix. Possibilities are endless:)

http://crockpot365.blogspot.com/ This is an amazing website. It's a woman that was determined to prepare a home cooked meal, every day, for a year, using her crockpot. Then she wrote a cookbook. Her recipes, some are odd looking, but all we've tried we've liked. They are gluten free because she has a child with that need, but I like her site because she lays out the ingredients, gives you the instructions and then a verdict, she feeds it to her family. So I'll bet there is something there you can find to fit your needs.

Wow 7!! I have 1 large one and 1 small one I rarely use because it just is off and on, not temp setting on it. But then there is just 3 of us now.

I only have one, and I have to squeeze into our cabinet.

Anyway, I never knew desserts can be made in a crock pot.
I never tried it.
Will look for answers here, sounds interesting.
