My daughter will be 2 in Feb and we just found out that we are expecting #2 in Aug 07. Who has a double stroller out there that they LOVE and would recommend. So far we are looking at the Caboose Stand-On Tandem Stroller by Joovy. Does anyone have this stroller do you like it / hate it? HELP!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Hey everyone Thanks for all your input, I liked the Phil and Ted stroller, but it was too expensive for my budget, also we loved the Orange Joovy, however my daughter still likes to nap in the stroller when we are at the zoo or where ever so we decided on the InStep Safari 2 Double Sport Swivel Stroller. It got GREAT reviews on Amazon.com and it was on sale for $100.00 off the normal price since it was a 2006 model. Thanks again for all of your input. C.

I absolutely adore my double. It's from a New Zealand company called Bill & Ted's Excellent Buggy Company. It's called the E3 and you can get them at the Right Start (either on line or there's one in Naperville). I didn't want a stroller that was too long, nor one that was too wide. Both types seemed hard to maneuver. the stand on ones turned me off b/c I felt like I wanted the option to contain my older child at times. The E3 is unique. Very maneuverable and not too wide for doorways. It has big tires which are great for various terrains. It's "convertible", you can use it two different ways as a double stroller and also as a single for when your older child outgrows strollers. Check it out online (http://www.philandteds.com), but the mechanics of it are hard to grasp w/out seeing it, so I recommend heading to Right Start.

I have a 25 month old and one due in July and just got the Joovy Caboose b/c it was the most recommended double in Parenting magazine and I've read great reviews elsewhere as well. I haven't tried it yet, obviously, but I've heard nothign but great things about it. Just as a little aside - I got it NIB on ebay for about $30 less (incl shipping) than I saw it anywhere else online.

I second the phil & ted recommendation - I love it! When your 2 year old declares they are too big for a stroller, you're not stuck using at as a double, either!

good luck :)

I've had my Peg Perego Twin Aria since my 2nd son was born. He is now 2 and 8 months. My older son is 4 and 5 months and was only 21 months when his brother was born. I love it. It is easy to fold and only weighs 12 lbs. Both seats recline and you can access the basket easily with seats reclined. My older son still naps in the stroller at times, so the stand-on tandem wouldn't work for me.

Also, I saw that Phil & Ted's stroller at Galt Toys in the Bloomingdales building downtown and they also have a location in Northbrook court if you want to check that one out.

Good luck!
